Someone want to give a performance tweak a try for me?
Undo any of the performance tweaks I posted, and then go into build.prop and change this value "dalvik.vm.heapsize=128m" to "dalvik.vm.heapsize=256m"

Let me know how you think it feels.

the rootwiki article won't open for me either. comes up saying an error occurred. also, we know why you do it and we appreciate it, but we also feel you deserve the recognition.

I am at work and without my streak, but when I get home I can try the tweak you mentioned if no one else gets to it before then.

I am trying to figure out why DerArtem chose to use a phone dalvik heap setting of 128mb rather than the tablet setting of 256mb and I'm wondering if that is impacting performance at all because the dalvik is getting full.

It is possible that is what is causing the light lag that is being noticed. Is it possible to set up a faster wipe of the dalvik? I know this is something I have set on my phone or something quite similar through rom toolbox, which flushes it and allows it to remain empty.

DerArtem says its probably just a mixer path problem, so it should be easy enough to find....I hope.

I didn't undo the previous settings but did change the dalvik heap to 256

The other dalvik setting in build prop look a little low as well

256 does make things better, still an occasional hiccup. But better

I have to say, I left the rest of the settings the same, but saw noticeably better performance with this tweak.

I have experienced a few random reboots. Probably kernel panics. I have logging disabled(using trickstermod apk for kernel settings)

Have been running on demand gov with 1.2 over clock. I've seen very little lag with the 256 dalvick adjustment and the recommended developer options tweaks.

Also running lots of the PMR tweaks.

V6 supercharger.... I know I've mentioned it before(ICS b4) but have you given it a go Giveen? Know it did well to my devices pre 4.2.x haven't tried it in months. What are your thoughts on PMR and V6?

Keyboard and Drawer

I use Thumb Keyboard (a buck or two) on my tablets because I use both hands to hold the darn things. I use Swype on my Cell. Phone because it is easier to use with one hand holding and one hand swyping. Driving down the road I kicked off GPS toolbox and it immediately started picking up satellites. After a reboot the Streak runs pretty well for a while but then starts to bog down. I'll try the dalvik cache tweaks that have been mentioned. Does anyone else have issues with the icons in the drawer (far right) piling on top of each other. It only started doing this on the latest beta so maybe it's just me or a setting somewhere. So it helps a bit, but not much, however it feels a bit smoother in going from menu to menu.

I plan on putting out a new build on Monday (2/11/13) that will mainly include CM10.1 patches. unless I come up with something major beneficial that needs an immediate release.

This proved to be a bit snappier on screen changes for me and apps load faster also.
