I think because of how these kernels work root would be needed but you could always root, make the changes then unroot after once your happy?

So the settings I make, eg. with Boeffla config app, stay when I unroot?
Yes root won't remove them however some may need root to run so next best is test it and see how you get on

Hey. The rom is now up with Elementalx kernel. The kernel has aroma interface, so the basic settings can be configured during flashing, nice. Of course I can't tweak it through ex kernel manager, but that's ok. It works well anyways. And what's most important, I can pay my bills without hassle. I know, (maybe) it's not safe to pay bills with phone, but I don't care. Thank you!
I installed this ROM, but there're still some apps which think that the ROM is rooted, like Payback, Sparkasse+, EntertainTV mobil.

I tried EntertainTV, although I didn't login, just started app, but no mentions about root. Does it mention about root after login or playback or in what situation?
I think some apps assume if they see Cyanogenmod it means it's rooted unfortunately, now tv does the same
You need to login and try to start a live TV, then there's a popup which mentions that your phone is modified (no mention about root).
Moved my build environment over to CM14 now (see taker18 thread) as for me it's now a daily driver.

Not sure if anyone still uses this build, I have been running my own builds for some time now that are the same as @daleski75 (user release builds) purely because I prefer CM over OOS but like to keep it close to stock and use Android Pay etc, so if it's OK I will leave this here:

I have added in Sultanxda's change for checking bootloader is unlocked so AP and POGO still work
