Hi all,
Just a quick note.
After I had flash this rom. The TWRP 2.7.1 V2 is going back to the hell. It's can not touch again.
I don't know why. Maybe I need to wait the new version of TWRP

So, you can flash back to MIUI OF rom by MiFlash or re-flash the original recovery then flash update.zip

Yep, already posted about it. The touchscreen don't work at first, you need to wait like 1 or 2 min and then it works.

here's Antutu on a 3GB mi4c
twrp does require 1-2 min wait before touch is 'active'
can't express how happy to have a non-MIUI ROM so soon, thx again
will report back after further use :good:
Weird, I get different results when benchmarking:

Antutu: http://imgur.com/GbcCLeK

Geekbench 3: http://imgur.com/jevKXo8

Also adding my thanks to the OP, we'll see how it goes but it's amazingly smooth for an initial/alpha release.

interesting, the difference is not marginal either.
did you format internal storage too? i'm thinking of lingering MIUI scripts contained within.
I came from MIUI 7 China Dev 5.10.8, performed factory reset (i.e. /data, /cache and dalvik cache) before flash.
i also flashed supersu 2.46, which i'd realised afterwards that CM has default 'enable root' option...

Nope, I wiped everything except internal storage and also installed the same MIUI dev rom, 5.10.8 before flashing CM. Even like you I flashed supersu to root the phone initially; it seems we've both taken the same steps so I'm confused

That said I'm not that hung up over benchmarks, though they are interesting to see. Does your phone feel smooth when you use it? No jank or animation lag for example?

agree, actual performance matters over benchmark.
so far it's very smooth for an alpha build, concurring w/ your previous comment; my animation scales are usually set as 0.5x.
the only thing that carried over from MIUI, so unlikely to be a ROM issue, is the (in)sensitivity of the bottom three function buttons. very hit or miss, especially the middle home button. do you have similar issue?
otherwise not fussed about missing features at this stage, such as double-tap wake, or volume wake, or edge buttons; not essential for me at least

As you said for an Alpha build it's very promising !

Yep, posted about that too :) felt like the hardware buttons are less sensitive, lot of misses.
this is indeed the only negative point.

Oh and waze app causing reboot as soon as you launch an itinerary.

Benchmark was lower than MIUI too but this is stupid, rom feels so much smoother...

Yes, I do agree that the capacitive buttons seem less responsive vs stock MIUI - maybe the dev can look into it. I don't mind too much as I prefer soft keys.

There are some UI discrepancies, e.g. normal roboto found where condensed should be used like in the toggles and app drawer but I'm not worried about these at all given this is an early release.

Hmmm I'm getting USB problems when connecting to my PC where it continually disconnects then reconnects. It was fine on MIUI when I copied a few albums across.
@ermacwins I got my Mi 4c from Gizok who were excellent. Two day delivery using DHL and they marked the package as being 59USD only so as to not incur import fees.

Hi. First of all, thank you for your awsome job on this rom. I have a problem with FM radio since the very first day when it came with miui. Now I see that it isn't working with your rom also. Is this a problem of this phone or is it just mine? Any of you guys had the FM radio working?

just downloaded everything and also installed CM 12.1 with no issues here. Only question is about gapps, do we need the normal ARM package or the ARM64bit package?

haven't experienced USB connection drops with transfers of ~300-500MB; however, still couldn't get adb working (e.g. adb devices - didnt show my device). dev options and adb interface are switched on

I've installed ARM64 and everything is ok!
ditto, installed pico ARM64 package from opengapps and no problems so far

maybe you beed to add 0x2717 to adb_usb.ini.
then run command: adb kil-server && adb devices
