- USB Tethering doesn't work
- MTP/PTP doesn't work (Using ADB push or wifi file sharing as a work around)

Firmware: OPEN-HK 20a (last firmware for HK DS so can't risk losing 2nd sim with crossflashing to EU 20g)

looks like T-mobile will soon be shutting down 3G and we will eventually lose the ability to make calls since there is no Volte on AOSP

It seems like my phone has randomly changed the passcode somehow
Obviously using this ROM, but my passcode won't work
It's the same one I've used on my last two devices, and it works just fine on my old phone. But for the life of me, it just won't let me sign in using my passcode
Does anyone have any tips?

EDIT - Realized I forgot to throw in the fact that I had/have it set to auto unlock once the correct passcode is entered and have tried rebooting device
EDIT 2 - I was able to fix it by following this https://************/delete-android-security-pin/

I have the LG LM-V405QA model of phone, and the FM radio on HavocOS does not work. Is this a hardware limitation? or is it some file I can edit in the system to enable FM functionality?

Receiving this error what's it asking for? What vendor image?

It means the version of havoc OS you are flashing isn't compatible with the LG OS version you have installed. Havoc is not a complete os unto itself. It uses the vendor images of the OS that was previously installed. Read the directions for installing Havoc or Lineage (etc), they will tell you which version of stock you need to be on for it to work.

But it doesn't state which version of stock is needed it just states pie/Q required. not which specific image and my v405QA doesn't have Q available just the Verizon variant has it in the usa.. also I'm not sure why this rom keeps identifying my phone as a google pixel "Coral" board.. not sure if that's normal..

It doesn't say a specific variant because you don't need a specific one. Yes unfortunately there is not Q for the QA, but there is Pie. Verizon and korean open and EBW and AT&T (from a backup, no kdz) do have Q available. But if you plan on using lineage, any one of them should do. I've not used havoc so don't know what's 'normal' for it as far as identifying the phone.

cheers

flashed this on A with TWRP on B. So far it's good though there are tiny weeny bitsy little insignificant details that's typically stated by OCD users that could be subjected to a bit of tweak or polishing on next update, if an update is indeed planned, or just some things that I've found and maybe can entertain others.

Currently I'm in IMEI 0 so can't really check the general function of the phone in terms of signals and what not -though wifi works wonder- and only have this since last night so here are first impressions.

1. the QQ2A.200501.001.B2 vendor image flash request per boot persists, which as far as I know is the vendor image for Google Pixel 4XL (I might be wrong) I'm assuming that this OS is modified from that series, which in turn gave this as part of the original OS boot sequence, maybe something along the line 'check vendor image' or something I dunno.

2. NFT works, however it will say that it doesn't. files transferred will not be visible in stock gallery but it will be visible in (settings/connected devices/connection preferences/files received via bluetooth) folder. the work around for this is to open the folder using file explorer (bluetooth) proceed with move them into other folders.

3. Account and everything related to it: guests, adding new account on account in system, doesn't really do anything or call out to anything, though this account stuff is really a lost cause to begin with as there are too many options related to it scattered throughout the OS.

4. double tap to wake the device does not work, even if you ticked the option. Previous Havoc versions also have this problem, so maybe this is just inherent. like what the gentleman above me stated, it will work if you turn on always on, however its function will contrary put the phone to sleep -as it always on.

5. I hope I'm wrong about this (so please correct me if I do) but you can't really modify how your home screen will look unlike the previous versions of Havoc -android 9 version mostly, namely app drawer opacity, icon text, and getting rid of day and date from the main page and lock screen -maybe I just don't know how to yet. on my previous phone (G6) I installed lucid launcher to deal with all home related modifications.

as I said since I'm still at IMEI 0, I plan to fix this first then going ahead with actually using this phone with this OS for my daily driver, who knows, but so far so good,

thank you for the hardwork releasing this OS @Xsavi, I honestly decided to buy this phone after I saw this post backed up by LG's decision to quit making phones :D

I'm having trouble getting this to boot. I get "Enter Password to use Android". Do you guys use the metadata TWRP? Can you give a detailed steps to flash? What base image are you on? So far I'm on V405EBW30d_00_OPEN_EU_DS_OP_1223.kdz then flashing BOOT twrp-metadata. Then install Havoc. I've tried variations of injecting/installing/formatting after installing Havoc TWRP but I get the same results. Next step is perhaps Pie without metadata TWRP as OP says Pie firmware will work?

I was finally able to get it to boot by wiping laf_b to get into abl_b (which wasn't twrp even though I installed), but that allowed me to use `fastboot erase userdata`. Note this is all w/ metadata twrp. I tried booting regular and metadata twrp and neither would work from slot b. I'm ok w/ no twrp once i'm up and running. I'm trying to flash vendor image now to see if I can get that to go away and test BT as that was 100% broken for me on LOS.

Further update, I somehow managed to get it installed again, while wiping/flashing etc and I do have TWRP installed, but the only way I can get to it, is via Magisk reboot to recovery.

BT works, but my phone reboots when connecting to BT devices sometimes after a minute or two, but it doesn't if I switch Audio codec to SBC in Dev Options. Unfortunately, this setting doesn't persist, I asked a question on Android Stack Exchange if anybody has suggestions, please answer here or there and I can cross post if needed. Perhaps the ROM can be re-written to allow this setting to persist if modified?

I currently have this same rom on my LG V40 but based on the official gsi and currently it is going very well, do you recommend installing this or keeping the gsi? Or what advantages does this have that the gsi does not have? I hope you can understand, my English is very bad XD, anyway thanks.

    Quad Dac/HIM support

Great it worked! BTW do you know why any of those advance power buttons booting into recovery, bootloader won't work?

honestly no idea rn i don't have the V40 anymore but i am looking for a cheap verizon one to be active once again.
    2
You mean by adb reboot recovery from ROM? I did but there is weird recovery installed, I forgot most of it but it shown as google/coral/coral as a header, like stock recovery rather than TWRP. Probably the TWRP did not stick last time. Well I guess it is a bit longer route but all iz well.

Yeah sounds like TWRP didn't stick when you enabled inject TWRP...when that happens you want to go into fastboot swap slots boot into TWRP but this time go into advanced and use the ramdisk option and choose the same TWRP.img and now TWRP will be installed on both slots...

First I installed all the updates from LG, than I had Paranoid Android Quartz 3, and now I flashed HavocOS. I get “Vendor image does not match the system” message at boot. PA didnt have this. Does it matter?

Any chance that you're going to build Havoc OS 3.6?

    Just ignore the message
