noob question to flash twrp on my european model do i have to use fastboot command: fastboot flash boot twrp.img ?? and then i can flash cleanstate kernel from external sd? i shouldnt loose data.. right?
TWRP is a custom recovery, don't flash it to the book partition.
Fastboot flash recovery.img.

Unlocking the bootloader wipes the internal storage, if your bootloader is unlocked already, you won't lose anything. Cleanslate kernel has to be flashed from SD card.

You can't decrypt in TWRP, just tap cancel if it asks for your pin. Proceed. Personally i swiped to allow system modifications, but currently not really sure, if that's required or not. SD card isn't encrypted if it's not formatted as internal storage, that's the reason why it's working. Flash from SD card and enjoy.

Yes, but with limited abilities, it wouldn't boot if you flash magisk without formatting data afterwards for example.
and if i choose keep system read only it will work? i have flashed magisk yesterday...i have to flash it again if i install twrp + cleanstate kernel?

Kernel flashing is the only thing that doesn't require further steps. If you flashed magisk yesterday, no need to flash it again. Flash kernel, reboot, enjoy.

@Captain_Throwback update U11 twrp recovery for android 8.0 few days ago, I replaced the kernel for U11+ and do patch on it,
touch is working but no luck with data decryption, maybe some experts can fix this :D

I do not have U11+, I'm just asking my friend doing test with this TWRP recovery...

android-7.1 build (decrypt not work)
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KeEroaj3ZN14JCjAqvK3D2eW8SlQNSi7

android-8.0 build (decrypt work, need to wipe userdata or you will get data encrypted message when reboot to system)
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1d1tbGSeEMmuGqy45_Ocppo_6bBgedk9m

And if you just wanna root your U11+ it's not necessary to install TWRP recovery to gain root now, Magisk v14.5 is a good choice.
All you need is download the boot image that match your device's software number and variants.

https://androidfilehost.com/?w=search&s=2Q4DIMG # Get RUU files here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/tool-universal-htc-ruu-rom-decryption-t3382928 # For decrypting RUU files

Simple Question,
How did you unlock the boot-loader on the HTC11+ if it don`t appear on "htcdev.com" list of devices, the only device is HTC u11 not the HTC U11+ (HTC U11 Plus)?

Can you use V4A, dolby atmos, titanium backup using this TWRP + magisk?
Leedroid is hesitant on doing a rom because this twrp is not full
V4A definitely works as does Titanium. Not sure about Dolby Atmos but to be honest, you're better off just using the RazerPhone dongle if you are truly after better audio.

Strange, I did almost the same steps as you described - but didn't allow system modification - and after that I installed xposed framework 90.1-beta3, Greenify4Magisk and iYTBP from magisk repo through magisk manager without problem. I don't know if allowing the system modification could be the problem. Also I have to mention that I used the "pin setting procedure" described in cleanslate thread before entering twrp as to prevent the decryption

yes that's what I understood too as twrp would need decryption to flash magisk
that's why I installed magisk by patching - mine is 15.3 - if it finds the data partition encrypted it will let it that way
cleanslate also doesn't need decryption in order to be flashed - that's why I used the pin stuff, because otherwise I understood (might be wrong) that twrp will decrypt or try to automatically
