sadly I don't own the device, but was working on the one, and made full partition's dumps.
If those are helpful to you guys I can upload them somewhere for you, but I was curious if root was ever achieved on the cricket variant of the device?
Yes if you could that would greatly help! I'm not sure about the cricket varient, is it the same model?

Yeah, I'm not sure on the models, but here's the one the dumps came from...

https://www.cricketwireless.com/sup...r-device-support/customer/device-support.html
and following the links to LG on that page leads to
http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-K450-xpower

I'm uploading A 7zip file to Mega it contains All partition dumps EXCEPT /userdata partition.
In the interest of protecting my client's data I've kept that one partition back.
of course the /userdata partition should be absolutely worthless to you in the endeavor to root the devices...

I hope this helps someone , Either repair their corrupted device, or helps root the dang thing.

Thanks to Team_Astr4y4L for the Mega account to host the file.

From looking at what they've done on other LG devices (G4, G5, etc.), it looks like we need to make a pre-rooted tot/kdz file and flash it with LG UP/Uppercut. I have zero experience with files of these types (this is my first LG device). If anybody knows of a thread or website that goes more in depth on how to work with these files, please link it for me. If not, I'll keep plugging along and try to figure it out myself.

We can't

I have checked the connectivity by "adb devices".
After run command "adb reboot bootloader", LG Xpower then go to "fastboot mode". The screen is black and "=> FASTBOOT mode..." is shown at the left bottom corner.
However, after that, the PC was failed to recognize it.
I opened device manager and realised under the section "Other device" with an unsuccessfully installed device(unrecognized character). I have verified that is the LG Xpower by unplug and plug the USB cable.
I got stuck here.
Although Xpower can be in FASTBOOT mode but the PC cannot recognize it. Depressed.
I am new here and don't know how to post the screen capture image.
did you ever figure out the solution to your problem I have the exact same problem now I can manually boot it into the bootloader but using ADB commands will not do it once I'm in the bootloader as you stated it does not recognize the phone
