Hello all,

I finally decided to flash this rom and i can see the amazing work that have been done. thanks a lot for that.
Just one thing: in the second post, its noticed that the proximity sensor works but does not swith off the screen during calls.
For me the sensor doesn t work at all: when i test it in "automate" or "sensor test" apps, it is as if the sensor doesnt exist (unsupported).
Would you have any tweaks to switch off during calls (for eg with light sensor or phone orientation) ?

Do you mean this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=asd.vector.sensor&hl=en ? It crashes when you try to test the proximity sensor, that let me think, that this is one of the reasons why the proximity sensor don't work the way it's supposed to be. Other apps simply report the sensor missing as you have noticed, that mean simply they don't report sensors that cause the app crashes. The sensor in Idol 3 is a tsl2772 from TAOS Inc. and it is supported by the kernel since 2012, it is strange, that the driver crashes in LOS 14.1. The only app, that dont crash is ProximityScreenOff https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876945. The work around is not the best one but it works (use enable during call only option in the app and turn all other options off). Check the configuration here: https://imgur.com/a/0MIne

I downloaded the app and it does the job. It displays a black screen but that s enough to save battery and avoid bad manipulations with the cheek. Thank you for the advice. It is reassuring to know that the sensor can work.

Guys Sucessfully i made port from Yu yureka LOS 15 with patch for our Idol3 ....Everything is broken only Boots and Touchscreen,GPS works and after 10-15 minutes device goes to bootloop but atleast we know that we can Get Oreo for our idol3...I'm not good at Device tree so some of the devs will need to work

Why is the security patch level stuck on 5th of october? I expected the last build to be on patch level 5th of november?

The build was made on the 4th, so that could explain it (not being snarky, I don't know when the patch comes out and when it is merged). I'm making a new build right now.

Hey dude! For future builds I recommend that you start a new thread. Posting new builds in an already crowded post can be a little confusing. I am not saying that you have to do it I'm just saying it might be a good idea.

I just flashed this to a 6045O and the ROM runs a lot slower than I remember CM 12.1 ran when I owned this phone a few years ago.

Everything is slow: apps are slow to load, the keyboard is slow to popup keys, scrolling, and animations are choppy.

Is this normal behavior or am I missing something?

Audio through my Bluetooth headset sounds bad, and the microphone isn't getting recognized.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I had everything working well with this ROM and saved it to twrp when it was slow...then either did a factory reset or wiped internal and reinstalled saved ROM from twrp... It worked smoother but then I installed Alex's extreme kernal for 7.0 June 2017... Left all kernal tweaks on default and this thing flies and everything works as well or better than any other ROM or combo on this device. Check in storage that you have decent free space on both internal and SD card. Great sound, screen and everything except this phone is almost always slow to charge and the screen eats up a lot of battery but no worse than any other ROM for this whether running stock or any other ROM I tried. I use an app killer or two which helps and background running apps eat up everything and many are user installed programs.... Happy New Year!
