You really cannot compare tablets and phones like that.

The A3 has a ril stack, NFC, etc so the Android system will use more. On top of that you probably also have different apps which will consume more ram when ril is around.

I would ignore what is in Zram, you are actually better off with less in the

It's uptime was about 30 days, after restart and update Gapps from recovery Android Systems takes about 120M similar to T530 tablet. Memory leak?

Odd, I've never seen that before.

Maybe it is a setting?

Android caches RAM to improve performance. Just don't worry about it.
No worries, but it starts getting slow responce and lagging when Mem and Swp almost full (about 100M free). Now it's better with these numbers (pic attached)

nope there is no such setting...

i also tried every single setting on my phone that could maybe be causing it (like the tap status bar to lock screen and the wake screen on charger plug in and the display ones)

i will try switching the charger and see if that fixes it but if it doesnt i'll troubleshoot more to find out what's causing it,cause its very weird.....my suspicion is on digital wellbeing or maybe the fact that i used gapp aroma or maybe magisk or a magisk module.

Will update on what i find.

Aroma causes issues, I would suspect that would be the cause. StickIng with Pico gapps is always the best option.

Also pixel launcher used to require features the phone cannot support. I think that would cause battery drain or random lockups in the past.

Great Rom. I've tried installing Microg and signature spoofing is not supported. Any way around this?
Thanks again

hello, so i finally got to be able reflash the rom and i used gapps micro and yeah the issue still persists and im so confused as i went forward and reverted back to my old rom.....the navigation key backlight just disappeared(i had one left as the recents backlight also just turned off but i didn't even know cause i thought it was the screen protector that was covering it)...im so confused lol and i donno whats going on as now i have lost both lights and coincidentaly when reverting back to stock.

and ooh the issue with the plugging and unplugging that causes screen to lock is only in the custom rom as the stock rom is normal.

i want to try flashing the custom rom once again to see if the lights could come back on but maybe later and i will keep you updated

Introduction

LineageOS 18.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11.0, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device. The port for the Exynos7580 based devices was created by @Stricted and I along with many contributions from other people in the Android community.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

This is a combined thread for the A series Exynos7580 based devices.

What works
Everything
What doesn't work
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS.

Any issues will be ignored if you do not provide:
a) Logcat
b) /proc/last_kmsg
c) LineageOS bug report
d) dmesg

Also do not under any circumstances post bug reports if you are using substratum themes or unsupported magisk modules or you have performed any system modifications

Installation

  • Install the latest TWRP for your device
  • Make a full backup (just in case something goes wrong)
  • Do a full wipe (Cache, Data, System)
  • If this is your first time on a LineageOS ROM format data, you also need to have been running your latest stock OS version
  • Flash the latest LineageOS 18.1
  • Opengapps
  • (Magisk if required)
  • Do NOT install the TWRP app if prompted, this will most likely cause a bootloop
Upgrade from official 17.1
  • Make a full backup
  • Flash in this order:
  • LineageOS-18.1
  • OpenGapps 11
  • (Magisk if required)
  • And then this migration zip available HERE

hello do you recommend the ROM for daily use and which gapps should I choose?
Yes it is stable. LineageOS recommends mindthegapps. I recommend no GApps but f-droid
    3
What kind of screen mirroring should that enable? What setup doni need on the receiving end? Will it work witout GApps?
Miracast is essentially broken in the current builds. Google cast should work though.

In the next build Miracast will work and you won't need gapps.

Sorry for my ignorance, could you tell a brief changelog - what are the main differences between Android 10 (LineageOS 17) and Android 11 (LineageOS 18) please?

Any major changes that break app compatibility?
    Hi,

A search on XDA reveals this write up:

On top of this we have a lot of fixes for our devices from security to ram management. The list is too long, if you are interested take a look at the device trees and kernel source on GitHub.

With regards to app compatibility, Android 11 has been out for nearly a year now. If an app you use isn't compatible then to be honest it isn't worth using.

    Kind regards,
    Danny
