I try to fix this asap.

2) Can this be flashed directly over 18.1???

A3 has no audio issue.
I recommend wiping system and data before flashing.

Thats only for a5xelte what I know,
my a3xelte testers reported, that everything is working fine.

Hey lohtse,
i own the galaxy a3 2016 and installed the rom on it and i can say audio is working perfectly fine on mine i can play Music, hear the System touch,unlock sound etc. I think its only a problem of the a5
