Flash twrp using fastboot.

Is this TWRP better than the official one?

I did with fastboot option but still it is recovery bootlooped.

Previous version is working fine and booting but r8 version isn't booting in twrp. It boots to twrp logo then stuck at it and recovery bootloop.
I flashed r8 version using fastboot method

Embarrassing! I uploaded a test version of TWRP by mistake. Please try now, bumped to version r9.

Is that why i get error 255 when restoring /data backup from ext4 to f2fs?

I'm using an anonymous Twrp 3.1.1 Official mod and it is fully stable. by Arvanasoft
Found it in Androidfilehost and it supports f2fs,dark blue theme, encryption.
Build of 18 Aug.
Btw thank you for the Twrp development.

Arvanasoft is a mod from darshan1205 source..
And have the same bug. Cannot moving file from internal to external when using f2fs filesystem.
But copying file is okay.

well i don't have any external SD card so its not in my way.
Everything is working fine for me.

@nichcream I make a backup from /system, /data, and /boot partion of MIUI 9 China Dev 7.8.30 but it is fail to restore the backup.
Here is the recovery log and screenshot. How to restore my backup.?

goto mount section and untick "Mount system as read only" option.

I have. But still error when tried to restore. May be i should make a backup with /system mounted?

I never faced such issue with MIUI 8 but for the first time after upgrading to MIUI 9 i found this situation.

I used the same recovery, backed up system and boot partition, and restored successfully on miui9.

In every TWRP 3.1.x I tried out on our device, the date and time is incorrect. Very annoying when naming backups. Any way to fix this?

Hello, @nichcream. I've been using this twrp for a while now. It's really stable.
I like the separate disable dm-verity button.

Now, I made backup made on otg and when it came to restoring, it couldn't detect the backup. It did, after i copied it to the internal storage.

Could you look into it?

I've always used OTG to backup and restore, never faced such issues.
Are you sure you selected "USB OTG" in the Restore interface?

I did.
And now that i notice, otg wasn't checked, under the mount option.
I can see the backup now.

That doesn't sound right. Are you on the latest firmware (ie 8.5.3.0)?

Probably not. I'm on v041 (taken from fedosis's drive).

Edit: I tried again after flashing 8.5.3.0 firmware (v43). But still no luck.
