Saying that users need a new device is quite wrong, some users may have bought this device new and just want to mod it a little bit. This is also a budget orientated device, meaning that people with not a lot of money will buy this. Being one of these people means I'm not going to buy a new phone, just because I struggle to modify it.

I found some libs about fingerprint scanner (/system/lib64)(/system/lib64/hw) just now. But I don't know how them work. I hope that you can fully fix FP bugs.

From MediaTek AOSP (Android 6.0)

I'll try testing this ROM and try to report any new issue I find
I also hope you can still keep developing this ROM @end222

Edit:

1. Audio can be increased and decreased with no issue.
2. At first I had connection (coverage, no internet connection) but changing the preferred network to LTE I lost all mobile connection. Switching back to the default 3G option made no effect. Registering to an APN didn't change anything, and restoring APN settings to default made no effect.
3. You can't register to Network operator, probably related to the connection issues.
4. System claims to be using 26GB of space, which I doubt it does.
5. The SD card corruption issues @jellybean13 mentions in his previous post

For nikel, the vendor of fingerprint sensors is FPC. You may need to use MTK sources to replace prebuilt files especially hardware (OMX, fingerprint, and so on). "Could not play *.flac audios" bug caused by OMX. Android 7.x has changed a lot, so some prebuilt files are incompatible for nikel.

Awaiting for the stable release.

Just flashed this rom and had a quick check. Amazing! Of course except for the mentioned bugs. Please work on it. I'm waiting for the stable release. Thanks.

Kernel sources will not help with rom developement.We need to do alot changes in android sources to make work audio,ril,omx codecs,camera and more,so we'll never get stable rom even with kernel source.
Also we need blobs source,because i've successfully fixed fingerprint for android 6,but in 7.0 its doesnt work because blobs(camera and goodix) are not compatible with 7.0+
And sorry for my english...

Oh my bad , I thought the center of construction was the kernel source itself,well I'm wrong. Thank you for correcting me

    I have found a solution which can fix "Corrupted SD card" bug. Lineage 14.1 (08-22-2017) fixed "SD card" bug in August. So, you can replace fstab.mt6797 (in boot.img) to fix "Corrupted SD card" bug.
