Why would you do that? If you want more space, that won't help since it's in system partition. And i don't recommend ripping stuff out of the system, it won't help you get more bb or whatever you're after

Do all apps that require google libraries work with MicroG without issue?
Certainly not all, especially Google play games doesn't work at all, but most other apps work for me, check out the wiki of r/MicroG from reddit, it has a lot of knowledge regarding microg and compatibility of apps

Skyblueborb,
And how do you synchronize the calendar with your google account with Vanilla + microG? How to keep calendar data when switching to Vanilla+microG ?
Is it possible to flash Magisk_patched_boot.img with LOS recovery?

Hi, the next update is coming soon? 😅
I wouldn't call it soon, im still abroad, in a week I'm coming back, but don't expect updates right away, late September early October is more realistic, but then again not sure about that, no promises

You mean extended storage? Yeah that's buggy on los 20 (in general, not device specific). And if you mean just exfat sdcard (with files, used as portable storage) then I'm not sure, does A3 support it on stock ROM?
After much research, I can describe what happened. Microsoft (around the time of Windows 7) allowed 15 character volume labels (which exfat-utils in Linux mimicked). Somehow when they published their official specification (much later) however, the following specified the label directory entry:

    Code:
    Field Name Offset Size Comments
                (byte) (byte)
EntryType 0 1 This field is mandatory and Section 7.3.1 defines its contents.
CharacterCount 1 1 This field is mandatory and Section 7.3.2 defines its contents.
VolumeLabel 2 22 This field is mandatory and Section 7.3.3 defines its contents.
Reserved 24 8 This field is mandatory and its contents are reserved.

Apparently, Microsoft became concerned about having a different maximum label size than legacy FAT filesystems (after years of a 15-character maximum), so (in the specification) they restricted the label length to 11 UCS (2-byte Unicode) characters), and "reserved" the last eight bytes of the directory entry. The addition of exfat to the Linux kernel came with the release of an "official" package of utilities (exfatprogs). Bottom line (I don't know how recent versions of Windows handle this), exfat-utils still allows the creation of 15-character labels, while exfatprogs does not. Further, the fsck in exfatprogs reports an error when the directory entry has a label length greater than 11. So, basically, I just needed to shorten the label to eleven characters to get the fsck.exfat on LineageOS (obviously from exfatprogs) to accept the card without demanding to format it.

Anyone else having issues with Bluetooth not staying on?
Damn lol, realized I had installed the spark ROM not this ROM. Switched over, and Bluetooth working fine.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13 (T), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. This version comes in two flavors, GMS and vanilla. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Google photos is unlimited in this rom, or not?
no, but there's pixelify (as @modstaryt said) or you can use this app, here's the guide from my tg group:
    1) install magisk if you haven't
    2) enable zygisk in magisk settings AND reboot your phone
    3) install lsposed from magisk and reboot (https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed/releases scroll down till you see assets, and download the zip containing the word "zygisk". Do NOT download the "riru" version)
    4) after unlocking, your phone will ask you to create a shortcut. Do it and place it in your home screen
    5) download the apk from https://github.com/BaltiApps/Pixelify-Google-Photos/releases and install it
    6) open lsposed (the shortcut you created), go to modules, and enable module
    7) open the app you installed, set "pixel xl" as the device to spoof, click "force stop google photos" button, and then open Google photos to confirm it's working

If the app says the module isn't enabled, force stop it and try again

this doesnt rely on spoofing the whole phone as pixel and is a cleaner solution imo, just does one thing, and it does it well

    Hi,

I installed your rom on my Mi A3 European model.

Since one week, everything went well, and overall everything works fine except:

    - SMS won't send if LTE call are activate (I use google message app)

    - Battery decreases when I use android auto in my car (connected on USB) whereas before (A11 xiaomi stock rom) my phone was charging

    - The "night filter lighting" is too much yellow even when setting it to the minimum (0% now is ~30% before on A11 xiaomi stock rom)

    - The automatic brightness works badly (I had to use macrodroid to manage this setting)

Otherwise thank you very much for your work, everything else works perfectly for the moment. It's the first time I use lineageos on my phone, how will it be for updates? (OTA or manually?)
1st and 2nd issues i haven't encountered (i don't have android auto easily accessible to test), night light can somewhat be tuned manually via the live display color calibration, auto brightness is tuned to your usage, if you have it enabled try nudging the bar to how you like it, after a while it will follow the preferences you set.
I might implement OTA, but that would still require at least one manual upgrade
Glad you enjoy the rom :)
