Does anyone using this ROM use it for video conferences or IP telephony with a bluetooth headset?
If you've got a BT headset around, canyou please try
https://talky.io on any your device? I'm am trying to track down a headset/a2dp profile issue I'm seeing with the equivalent build for SM-T715. Any report for the T710 equivalent to mine below would help to understand if it is a common issue for the gts2 family or a device-specifc one.
Here are my BT audio testing results on so far:
In addition to the low-end HAMA earpods I used before, I took a Bose QuietComfort 35 to represent the "higher-end of the portfolio". Years ago I used this Bose headset with stock T715 ROM to perform
https://talky.io Firefox/Fennec browser-based peer-to-peer (RTC) video calls. Now testing talky.io with LOS 18.1, I can't get BT audio microphone to work (nb: internal microphone is working so it is not a browser/talky/device specific issue).
When testing BT audio output ("Test speaker") with the talky.io settings first, I get sound via BT, when I then activate the microphone I don't get any indication on the microphone input meter and the application states that the microphone is not working. After having tried the microphone, when re-testing the speaker it also does no longer produce any sound on the BT headset. I recognize a constant noise on the headphone after activating the microphone so it looks like output gets switched to lower quality.
I also recognized that when you've got a BT headphone coupled, there are BT-related options within the LOS developer settings you then can use to toggle between AAC and SBC codec and perform other settings like switching the channel between Mono/Stereo/Dual-channel. Unfortunately none of these settings lead to a working BT microphone experience.
