Important:
You guys will recieve an update to crdroid 7.2 if you are using crdroid gsi.
That OTA will brick your device because it is for Redmi Note 8 Pro, thanks to the misreconisation bug of devices. You must block the update by this tutorial (disable system update app.)
The codename of crdroid updater is com.crdroid.updater, so

<package_to_disable> =
com.crdroid.updater
i.e. adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.crdroid.updater

Friendly reminder:
Android 12 GSI from nippongsi is here. Please test because this will let us know that whether H-Vendor can boot Android 12 or not, and hence affect whether H - Vendor needs to be updated or not.
Aospmaster: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=17LKUSfJ1Gmhp4WCjfqg9SCgNyfGHhAMa&export=download
Pixel 4a 5G: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1XG1kN5nnRVjV-EvLEdTF86r0yzU9BPD4&export=download
More Android 12 GSIs from nippongsi can be found here.
For those who failed to install or faced ramdom reboots, though it will unlikely happen, expanding system partition using the script in the thread below may help you.

gave it a shot on my j530f, astrako kernel 8.0, h-vendor 1.0, fails to boot.

wipe, dalvik, cache, system,data
install generic ab nippongsi 12
reboot to recovery
install permisifier
reboot
Black screen no joy
hard boot to recovery
install areskernel 8.0 and h-vendor 1.0
reboot
Boot to galaxy logo only

restored back to android 11.

Try other kernels then, if still no success tell Astrako so that H Vendor can be fixed for android 12
If you failed to boot only on aosp master build you can also try pixel builds

also tried simpel kernel 1.0
I also tried the pixel builds yesterday to no avail.

I believe astrako has finished working on the j5xx from a telegram message.

What happens boot loop or stuck on boot?

hard boot to recovery works ok
? So J530 is formally and permanently dead?

works fine with AB android 11 gsi.... I am not 100% sure astrako has finished working on the j5xx, i just remember a message on telegram from around january, when a release of a unstable H-vendor was updated, so please forgive me if I am incorrect in my memories ;-)

J730G restarts when i activate night mode or screen rotation
other than that, great job xD
This is a bug for all ErfanGSI-based GSIs (i.e. Full-GSIs) (This is a ErfanGSI based GSI, PHH based ones (i.e. Semi-GSIs)will not boot with drivers from H-Vendor ) so unfortunately it will not be fixed so soon at least for a few months.
