Hi,

After having installed the new ROM, does the Galaxy Tab E 9.6 SM-t560 still support a USB Hub, like with the original android 4.4.4 ROM (contrary to smartphones, as far as I know), so that it would still be possible to plug into the Tablet and simultaneously use external Mouse, Keyboard and, in case, pen drive?

Moreover, is it possible to move apps to the SD card, or even to directly install them there?

Thanks

It does support

Hello,
I move my T560 to that Lineage without any issue
But, I would need some advices :
The remaining memory is less than 200Mb over 1.5Gb, it is quite impossible to launch something
So, I wanted to move another rom but the VOL- +HOME +POWER keys does function anymore

Did someone encounter such issues, are there fixes ?

Thanks for your help

Hello, I just installed the ROM of LineageOS 14.1 (Android Nougat 7.1.2) on my T560 this week and it runs smooth without any big issue. I confirm the known bug (when the tablet if off, no battery loading indicator). It detects 1,4 Go of Ram, uses 744 Mo and have 706 Mo of free available Ram (744+706 = 1,4Go of Ram, it's correct).

I've only installed Open Gapps pico because the tablet is quite old and need to be fast before to be modern in my opinion, so Android System WebView is the native one (AOSP), there is no unnecessary backend process than the apps I manually installed (Chrome, Gmail, Youtube, Gboard).

VOL- + HOME + POWER keys works fine on my tablet. Files are always on my SD Card but I don't know if I can delete them.

I would just notice @SeeDoubleYous that I did not mention after TWRP installation, the shortcut is not VOL- + HOME + POWER but VOL+ + HOME + POWER :coffee:

You can delete files from SD. As for me, I deleted files and all was good. But on T561 Lineage is buggy. It can reboot some times.

Yup, it is possible to move apps. I done it, by formatting SD from ADB.
Firstly, backup files from SD Card if you need.
Now, enable ADB in Developer Settings.
Then, connect cable to computer.
Windows:
Install ADB and open cmd. Go to dir with adb.exe
Prompt:
./adb.exe shell
Linux:
Install ADB by using commands for your distro
Prompt:
adb shell

When, in adb shell:
sm list-disks
From this command you get info like that:
disk:NNN,NN
Replace NNN,NN with your numbers and use this command:
sm partition disk:NNN,NN private
It will format SD FULLY into private.
To format in private and public, use mixed:
sm partition disk:NNN,NN mixed PERCENT
PERCENT
replace with your percent, it will format this percent into private storage.
For example - 60, 60% in private, 40% in public
For me this worked.
If you format in private - you cannot see storage contents.
If in mixed - you will see only public part.

Hello everybody,

It took me a lot of time to find a working version for the T560. To make it easier for you I created a Dropbox share with all what is needed. I collected the files from different sources. The installation steps are simple:

1. First install TWRP on the device via Odin --> "AP".
2. Copy files (3+4+5) to SD
3. Put SD into the device and start TWRP (Recoverymode)
4. Wipe everything, except SD
5. Install boot.img in boot --> NO reboot
6. Install Lineage 14.1 --> NO reboot
7. install Magisk 21.0 (probably a new version will work too)
8. Start the system and have fun.

I've been using it for 2 months and everything works fine so far, I only use it for watching Videos on Netflix or VLC, despite being a newer Android it only has 1GB of RAM so don't expect miracles.

Of course I'm not responsible if anything breaks or stops working properly, the responsibility is not mine!

Enjoy it and thanks to all who created the files i used!

No, the maintainer of this ROM stopped work. On github we can only see buggy kernel to LOS 15.1 and very raw and unstable ROM

Thanks you. It worked on a Tab E T562.
Bugs:
Only nobody else can call us.
But we can make call.

It was hard because,
RAM size was 681 megabytes.
For solve it, first i flashed ROM and gapps, second i flash boot.img and keys .zip. Reboot and success. RAM size increased to 1.5 gigabytes.

Last year I got a Galaxy Tab E (SM-T560) from Samsung for free as gift to my new mobile phone.
Unfortunately the ROMs for SM-T560NU tabs are not working on that device, but I found a working ROM of LineageOS 14.1 (Android Nougat 7.1.2) on the following page:

Just installed it to my tab and it seems working well!

I used the instructions from a comment at the bottom of the page:

Good luck and enjoy! :)

I have twrp 3.idk and if i flash twrp 2.8.x it guves me the same
Maybe you need to delete and rename few words in ROM? Remember, you need make a backup before this operations!
1.Copy the zip file of the ROM to your computer and extract it using archiver.
2.After unpacking, find the META-INF folder and follow the META-INF / com / google / android chain. In the last folder you will find two files called "update-binary" and "updater-script".
3.Rename "updater-script" to "updater-script.txt" and open your text file editor (Notepad ++ for example)
4.Get rid of lines starting with "assert" before semicolons. This is usually the first or the first few lines at the top of the text file. Just remove them.
5.Save the file.
6.Rename "updater-script.txt" back to "updater-script".
7.Update any files you unpacked.
8.Copy the new, edited zip on SD card.
9.Wipe data,cache,system and reboot recovery.
10.Flash ROM.
If it doesn't help, you need to delete files CERT.RSA, CERT.SF, MANIFEST.MF. You will find it in META-INF.
You need download ROM again,if nothing can help you.Maybe your previous downloaded file is destroyed.
I don't recommend old TWRP versions, this can give you an error.

LineageOS 14.1 (formerly known as CyanogenMod) ROM is based on the Android stock ROM released by Google, which the LineageOS team modifies.

Credits go to the LineageOS team for making this ROM available to many devices and to independent developers like Ma3a_XaTa for porting this ROM to the Tab E SM-T561.

Just installed it to my tab and it seems working well!

I used the instructions from a comment at the bottom of the page:

    Prerequisites:
    1. Make sure you have TWRP 3 installed (HowTo)
    2. Move the downloaded files to your Micro SD Card (>4GB recommended)
    3. >50% battery charge
    4. Some patience.

    Installation:
    1. Boot to TWRP 3 (Power + Home + Volume Up) and Swipe to allow modifications
Note: Make sure to Backup EFS and Modem to Micro SD Card in TWRP.
    2. Wipe > Advanced Wipe > (Select Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage, Cache ONLY) > Swipe to WIPE
    3. Install > Select Storage > Micro SD Card > Select lineage-14.1-20180419-UNOFFICIAL-gtel3g.zip
    4. Add More Zips > open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-2018xxxx.zip
    5. Add More Zips > keys.zip
    6. Swipe to confirm flash and wait for 5-10 mins
    7. After the Flash process DO NOT restart system.
    8. Go back to Install > Install Image > boot.img > Select Boot Partition > Swipe to confirm flash
    9. After the boot.img has been flashed DO NOT restart system IF you want Root.
    10. Go back to Install > Install Zip > SR3-SuperSU-v2.82-SR3-20170813133244.zip > Swipe to confirm flash
    11. Now Restart System.
    12. Wait 10-15 mins, it will take some time.
    13. Enjoy Lineage OS!

    Known bugs:
    - Charging while the device is off works, but does not show battery charge indicator animation.

    Good luck and enjoy! :)

    Hints & Tips:
    1. To improve the speed of the tablet, turn of animations inside Developer Options.
    2. You can also install an app freezer called "Icebox" to temporarily disable RAM hungry apps like Facebook, Chrome etc.
    3. To ensure longer battery life, disable “double tap to wake” hidden somewhere in the settings (use the app called "Kernel Adiutor" from the Playstore).
    4. If you don’t plan to put a SIM on this thing or if you are having a SM-T560 only, put it in airplane mode and then turn on your WiFI when needed. Turn of GPS/location or even sync when not necessary.
    5. Disable "Adaptive Display" in the settings. It seems to make the tablet slower.
    6. Improve the battery life of the tab by using an app called “L Speed“ (available in Playstore).
