Hello and thank you for your work
I have been using the j5nlte version for about one week now and it is doing everything that I want it to do, but there are no visual notifications.
I searched notification light in the settings and it is set to on.
I tried turning on advanced and added email and sms apps but nothing works.
I don't know if this is a bug, or if I am just missing something obvious!, but there is no visual notification when an email or sms has been received, and also for missed calls / voicemail, well for anything.
The phone bleeps, so an audio notification is present, and if I wake the screen, the notifications are there, but while the screen is asleep, nothing visual.
I tried toggling on and off as well
I read through the 11 pages here, and searched the LineageOS/Go 15.1 thread for notifications but didn't find anything about this.
Have I missed something?
I have looked through the phone settings, as well but found nothing relevant.
If anyone knows how to enable visual notifications, posting how would be appreciated, or is this a bug?
Would you need logcat for this?
So it would seem, time to try again with something elseBro, it looks like this rom has been abandoned, no update since October.
Bro, try the Spaceos v3 ROM, the wycked ROM or the Odyssey rom that are great ROMs, with a variety of customizations, and virtually no bugs, or try the AOSP-based ROMs, such as bootleggers, which have updates for months. However the AOSP Rom's have the bad native camera, compared to the Samsung-based ROM's that are excellent, formerly I preferred the AOSP Rom's, but now I'm loving the ROM's based on Samsung. So it would seem, time to try again with something else
Thanks for the recommendations, I had already installed Bootleggers Pie but I will take a look at those rom's forum posts. and may well switch as I cannot get push notifications to repeat lighting up the display.Bro, try the Spaceos v3 ROM, the wycked ROM or the Odyssey rom that are great ROMs, with a variety of customizations, and virtually no bugs, or try the AOSP-based ROMs, such as bootleggers, which have updates for months.
