Unresponsive touch

I recently got my daughter a 2nd hand S3 mini
But i have noticed the screen is very unresponsive in this area
unless you press with quite a lot of force
Anyone have any ideas before i order a replacement screen

i think there is a thing called screen calibration, maybe try that
