BS Player External Codecs and How to check Codecs needed to play a File.
If you get BS or MX Player you can view the Properties of the Video and see which Codec is used for the Audio Track(s). Also MediaTab gives detailed File Info (it's not a Player).
Compiling your own is safest - that's important.

The Blog tells you how to compile your own and there's a Link to .so files, the oldest one is 2/18/17 3:46 PM .
Maybe find a couple of sources and see if they are similar sizes.
I checked my Phone with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes but you should run your own tests - best yet compile your own or politely ask a Senior Member to locate a source.
I was looking for this answer too, there are very few SE Results to legit Sites with good info, I hope it's OK to resurrect this Thread with new info.My videos in stock player play fine, but I get this error message "unsupported audio codec" - and I have no sound.
They play ok in Galaxy Note 2, and everywhere else. Tried MX player, same thing. Video is ok but with no sound.
Any solution to this?
