Use Huawei update extractor to extract recovery.img from the latest update.app.
Flash it in fastboot mode and use the three button method to go back to emui.
Google or search XDA and you can find detailed instructions on how to do the above.
As for recovering your data from previous emui, I don't think anything can be done.

before I tried b380 recovery with b380 update.app it failed at 5%

As far as I know, the only way to remove fingerprints is to rollback to the stock EMUI ROM. Then reinstall your custon ROM. I did this way and everything is OK now.
with twrp installed you can just get an emui rom like pure rom from digigoon and you'll be set in 5 minutes.

i went from cm 13 to pure rom 2.2 because of a few quirks but went back to my backup after a night or so...
so what to do:
- backup your device (if you need)
- load pure rom 2.2 zip onto your sd card
- you might want to factory reset (just the basic one)
- boot twrp flash image
- select pure rom zip file
- proceed flashing - reboot after flashing, this might take a moment for first boot
- setup device - remove fingerprints whatsoever
- later if you want to go back to cm13 you can either do with your backup (which i did - standart restore twrp function)
- or flash new see very first post

check out titanium backup, you can save apps + data there, even after doing a factory reset, you're pretty quick to set the device (or at least most of the apps) within a few minutes.
So what i'd like to do is
- backup twrp (which is basically everything OS and current status)
- titanium backup to restore single apps of my choice

Try to register finger which was never registered. If will done, all fingerprints will be recognized again. If no success, then only rollback way)

Getting stuck at 5% happens too often. Would have been solved if you had tried b380 recovery with b380 update a couple of times.

SD Card:
- Several users had to format their SD card after flashing this rom by using the built in format-tool which is offered after setting up the device checking the notification bar.
Camera App:
- cm13 stock camera app does not work with zoom, and video quality is bad. We advise you use the camera app of your choice which should fix any poor quality
- other camera apps like open camera has also no zoom functionality
Smart Key
- While Smart Key is an emui feature, it's not present in cm13. You can add and even enhance this feature using the xposed additions app to add functions to any key with rules when and what to act.
You will need to "Allow External Devices" Option with "Miscellaneous" checked

EMUI Features
- Since this is cyanogenmod and not emui, most of the emui specific features such as telephone cleaner, multi-window, knuckle-screenshot, screenshot-video-recording, huawai backup, permission master, etc. - you might love or hate are not available in this rom. with cyanogenmod you get the vanilla android experience, it is smooth and very stable, and up to the closest possible rom getting the original android experience...
- A few features can still be used, such as smart key, most of them rely on having xposed modules

Well, actually emui has some cool feature to keep (camera app, IR remote app and some more things) but it is nothing compared of what I win with CM (smooth multitasking, root/xposed, better interface as I prefer stock android,...). And greenify is freezing app that I don't want to run in background, and I still get my WhatsApp (and more) notifications
It's my choice, I wasn't using those fingerprint gestures so no big deal for me ?
BTW I may have some clue to explain why pepsi was so strange : he already worked on another ROM for honor 2, and he has been insulted for his management of his releases on XDA,... That's why he doesn't like this community, and why he wants to stop public releases... Even if we were praising his work a lot. I feel sorry for him, but he's older now, he could forget the past and enjoy being a kind of "hero".

check with better battery stats, for me it said the device is never in deepsleep when i had vodafone active, which resulted in a one day charge. after freezing the app i get approximately two days. you can find some screenshot like one or two pages back.
i already figured out the xposed assistant enabler. had N-ify already
don't know if i want nova launcher + theme though... is it better?
greenify is on my list as well, not applying on everything though

you need to check the setting for misc key support. otherwise it won't be recognized.
