I'm trying B.S.G GCam Mod with NiCkAM8PRO V5.1 Profile.
I have already tried the others, but icoming from a samsung note 10 I find it difficult to get good results with the camera.

I also tried an version (PXv8.1_GCam-v1.2) without xml file, and it looked good to me.

Well, glad you found a mod you are familiar and satisfied with, even if it's not one of those I've been working on. We all have different needs, techniques and appreciation, so one app only could hardly satisfy everyone.

Even for me, who tried almost all GCam mods, I sometimes switch from one to another depending on what I need to shoot at, and my mood lol. I didn't pledge allegiance to any mod in particular... ;-)

Okay, let's start simple: Which Google Camera mod are you trying to use? Depending on the one you use, the configuration (xml) folder is different.

1) if you use P.Z.D mod: XML will be in /internalstorage/ConfigsSettings8.2/'theXMLfile.xml'

2) if you use BSG mod: XML will be in /internalstorage/GCam/'theXMLfile.xml'

3) if you use Greatness mod: XML will be in /internalstorage/GCam/Configs8/'theXMLfile.xml'

Hope it helps :)
Been stubborn. Just followed and got the config loaded. All is well along with night sight thank you 🖤🖤🖤 greatly appreciate you🖤 can I buy you a coffee?

Used several of the above mods on my OP8pro using Pixel Experience Plus based on Android 11 with very nice results. There is only one problem on all of the versions. The telephoto mode, or 2.2x on the app, is always cloudy. It doesn't bother me as I am not using it but curious of others have this as well. See two photos. One is 1x. The other is 2.2x and held farther away to make the shot similar PXL_20210715_173720900.PORTRAIT[1].jpgPXL_20210715_173735095.PORTRAIT[1].jpg

Oh, strange, nothing such on all 4 mods tested on my unit (O²OS 11.0.0.7), so I'd tend to think it might be caused by your custom ROM. I guess you don't have the same issue when you use the stock app on your Pixel rom, but just in case, let us know if all is fine when using OnePlus camera app with Tele sensor.

And another thing; do you get this issue only for close-up shots or even when the object/person is far from you? Make sure you give at least 1 metre between you and what you want to shoot, when using the Tele sensor.

Well feel pretty stupid. Telephoto is fine after all. I had cleaned the lens several times before but didn't look closely at the cover. The lens is pretty small and there was some soft plastic molding artefact covering it. What a difference a tiny thin piece of plastic makes.

I think if this mod could use both the tele (not the fake tele 2.2x) and macro lens's, I would finally be able to move to LOS 18.1. Macro lens is actually very good! I use it for zooming in very close to flowers and insects, and there is no way I could take those photos with gcam.

Is anyone looking to get the proper tele and macro lens working?

I totally understand your request; however, I know no mod as of now, not only among the 4 I'm offering here, that provides real support for our macro and (real) telephoto sensors. If I can find any, or if there is any significant improvement among the existing mods regarding this support, I'll let everyone know in this thread. :)

If you enjoy my work, feel free to say 'Thank you' as well as a 'Thumbs Up', allllwayyys appreciated! ^_^
Hi mate appreciate you're amazing help for providing great Gcam's for this phone. I've got a mate who's got a oneplus 8 pro and he's never heard of/used a gcam mode before. I want to amaze him with one of the gcam's provided in this pack. Any idea which one I should recommend he try to get him to convert? or maybe like pros/cons of each one if you know them?

Thanks for your help! I don't have a oneplus phone so can't test and decide which one of the gcam's in that super pack are the best ones.

Hi bud,

You may want to make him try B-S-G's release, first, as it's stable, clean, easy to use. Noise is kept low (under normal conditions, low-light scenarios need to capture scene for longer to get clean output), saturation is not too high, it is sharp and contrasted, and I provide 4 different configuration files just for this release only (depending on quality you wish to achieve, at the price of longer exposure time).

You could also let him try the version from Greatness. It is fun to use, output is fine too, just a bit more saturated than B-S-G's release.

Other 2 apps are fine too, but not my first choice (personal opinion here).

Hope it helps! Enjoy shooting :)

Hi, Any new Profile for New version bsg m series?
Thanks .
Well, there are not so many changes in the latest release(s) that would need to "re-write" the full profiles, in my opinion, so you can still use them and most -if not all- should work fine. I'm taking some distance with this activity a little bit, having some more urgent things to do these weeks, but I might come back sharing more XMLs again in the future...

To anyone in this group/thread, feel free to share your own contribution, even if it's a work-in-progress, as long as you provide a quick description of it as well. It doesn't have to be 'perfect', as 'perfection' for one will only be partially fine for someone else. Still, everyone is welcome to contribute to this thread and share more profiles. Variety means more chances that we all find what we like!

    Here are V5.3 NiCkAM8PRO Profiles for latest B.S.G GCam 8.1 GV1r version.

Download (APK + Custom Profiles): https://ufile.io/7uwbisj1

This Mod is oriented toward Image Quality. HDR+ 'Enhanced' is ON and it takes a second to take the shot using the FINE profile (and about 5 to 10 seconds for the app/device to post-process the picture), about 2 to 4 seconds when using the 'HQ' one (better be steady/stabilized when using this profile).

A lot of editing in different sections of the settings, for EACH and EVERY lenses. Countless hours of work on it and several hundreds of test shots. I hope it can be helpful to some here.

    Cheers!

    Hello Fellow GCamers,

Here's the latest B.S.G GCAM Mod for our OnePlus 8 Pro. It comes with a new XML as well, which is my personal experiment at providing the best mix of SPEED and QUALITY that I could get. No HDR+ here, only INSTANT shutter delay (in 'normal mode), to 'imitate' the stock camera app...

Download (APK + Custom Settings): https://ufile.io/fjn2b6p7

The XML folder has CHANGED, so you need to copy my settings to /Download/MGC.8.1.101_Configs/

No need for users to keep being still for a second or two while capturing their shot! Of course, you can always revert back to the full HDR+ capture method by pressing the top arrow on the main screen and selecting 'HDR+Advanced' (possibly in low-light scenarios). :)

Hope some of you will enjoy it! Cheers ^_^

EDIT: My mistake, I unfortunately forgot to disable the HDRNET function of the app, which caused several issues... Settings & upload link are now updated!

A slight update to the previous XML release, for B.S.G's latest GCAM Mod...

    Download (APK+XML): https://ufile.io/phqyjvtx

Custom XML V5.2.1 brings lighter shadows in all back lenses, which results in recovering more details. Some may prefer this version, as others would want more 'contrast'. Anyway, in case you haven't noticed yet, these XMLs are a constant work-in-progress, and are definitely based on my very personal tastes... I'd highly recommend you use them only as a starting point to set it the way you like! :)

As I don't notice some huge improvement between the 'INSTANT' snapshot mode and 'HDR+ Advanced' in terms of Image Quality (there is some, don't get me wrong, but it is subtle, especially in daylight, and you can always go for the other mode in low-light or night scenarios anyway), I decided to disable 'HDR+Advanced' by default in this XML, so that users would have a faster experience, closer to stock app. Anything can be modified anyway, so it's really up to you! ^^

    Hello OnePlus Addicts,

Here is a Custom-Made SUPER-PACK of some of the newest Google Camera Mods available out there, which contains the work of several developers such as Greatness (Rakin), B-S-G, P.Z.D and Wichaya.

Please, keep in mind that I am not an app developer, myself, just an enthousiastic end-user happy to share the good stuff!

    /// https://ufile.io/o9jl4v9v \\\

    >>> The included XML configuration profiles are made for ONEPLUS 8 PRO ONLY! Using them on another device may result in some serious bugs, crashes, and it will definitely not bring you the same user experience... <<<

    1) Just download the file above, unzip it, then install the apk file of your choice on your device.

    2) Extract the appropriate xml configuration file, as well as its folder, to your phone internal storage.

    3) Then, just start the app, give the necessary privileges, double-click on the lower black area near the 'shutter' button of the app, it should allow you to load custom profiles. Select my xml, press ok, done! :)

Some of these mods are based on the very latest Google Camera V8.2 version, and they come with Face Detection, Face Retouch (both Front & Back sensors), great color reproduction, low noise, excellent details (especially on the main back sensor), FHD & 4K videos @ 30/60FPS with OIS/EIS stabilization, Night Shots, Astro-Photography, Portrait and more...

However, there is still no Distortion Correction/Fix on Wide-Angle sensor, on any GCam mod I have tried sor far actually. This might come in the future, but it seems to be quite hard for devs to implement in their respective mods. This can be fixed by some apps in post-editing anyway...

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are some 'hidden' shortcuts in some of these GCam mods! For example, with Greatness and P.Z.D, you can access the (very useful) Exposure/ISO menu by long-pressing the circle 'gallery' button on the lower-right of the main app screen, which will provide you with a choice of ISO settings, as well as Exposure choices. The lower the ISO, the better the final picture quality, but it will take more time to 'capture' your image. The same goes for Exposure; the longer the time, the better your image (and the lower iso at the same time), but you may have to be steady if you go lower than 1/10s.

A long-press on the Camera-Switch button (on Greatness Mod), on the lower-left of the main app screen, will directly bring you to the App Settings.

Double-Press the viewfinder itself will zoom 2x to what you want to shoot, and will display the Zoom Bar at the bottom, so you can finely adjust it!

There is also a 'Sunset' shortcut on the main screen/viewfinder (Greatness Mod), just above the 3 back sensors, which should theoretically bring better color reproduction and lighting to your sunsets.

Also, one personal advice when using some, if not all of these mods: You will get BETTER EXPOSURE as well as LIGHTER SHADOWS when selecting your focus zone MANUALLY (within limits of your focus zone of interest, obviously). This goes for Daylight shots, as well as Nightshots, and another advice would be to try to select either a Dark area of your image (when shooting in daylight) OR one of the Brightest zones (for example, some streetlights at night), and then take the shot. The App should then do a better job at adjusting your Exposure, Contrast and Shadows, and this will greatly reduce risks of Under-Exposing or Over-Exposing your shots. When taking snapshots of people, in case the app can't detect their face, make sure you select it manually, you will definitely get brighter, more detailed skin results. It may be one extra-step, but I personally found out that it was usually worth doing it!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A tiny little update for 'B.S.G GCam profiles pack' that might fix some noise artefacts in some low-light scenarios. If you are fine with previous V5.1, then it's fine, if not, you could try this one :)

    Hello buddies,

Currently in a short trip but I have some good news for you; Greatness developer managed to publish a new version of his Google Camera Mod, oriented toward the OnePlus 7, 8 and 9 series, with AUX support (yes, Wide & Tele work perfectly on it!), Face Retouch as well, low noise, nice picture, OIS stabilization when taking shots, and much more...

Greatness Modified Google Camera V8.2, with NiCkAM8PRO V1.2 Profile: https://ufile.io/7z7fgpch

    1) MAKE SURE YOU FULLY UNINSTALL any other Google Camera app that you may have on your phone before installing this one. ALSO COPY THE 'CONFIGS8' FOLDER in my zip file inside of your (preexisting or not) GCAM folder of your phone storage.

    2) First time you start the App, grant the needed privileges, then go to the Settings, Advanced, scroll down then select XML Configs, and click the top option with the yellow sign, which should allow the app to 'read/write' custom profile configuration files on your device.

    3) Go back to the main GCam screen, then DOUBLE-PRESS the black area AROUND the SHUTTER button, this will allow you to LOAD my XML configuration file.

    4) Select it, then ENJOY this great mod!

Took me some time to set this one up, but here it is... Hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I do! :)
    7
Well, I've just been away for a day and already plenty of new messages here... Cool! :)

Not sure I have an answer for everything and everyone, but I'll try to help...

To start with, here is version 3.0 of the GCam app: https://ufile.io/mlcr7jp0

It is NOT (yet) available on Celso's website, so you can enjoy it before everyone else through my link. It brings several improvements found in the settings, compared to V1 and V2.

It seems some of you got problems enabling and using the Wide & Tele sensors. Well, they work fine on my device, and my guess is that some of you may have downloaded a slightly different version than the one I indicated. By the way, I use O² OS version 11.0.5.5, and I am rooted.

Concerning 'Motion' function, it is called 'Live Photo' in this app, and you can enable it in 'Setting up the mod' part of the Settings. I don't use it at all, so I can't tell if it works, but it seems to be there.

I've spent some more time trying to get the most natural colors from this app, with pictures giving plenty of details, some contrasts, as well as details in the shadows, all this with controlled noise. You can simply download my newest V1.2 xml profile, hope you'll enjoy it! ;-)

Saturation & Vibrancy have been kept LOW, so you get a Flat picture that you can easily post-edit with any app, like Snapseed or Photoshop Express on Play Store. Reds, Greens and Blues are not 'boosted', contrary to the stock app, so you may need to either 1) raise those values in the GCam app if you like saturated results, with the risk of losing authentic colours that may matter for some subjects or 2) simply post-edit your pictures, which takes seconds when you get used to it.

It's still a work-in-progress, but I am starting to really like this new GCam mod...
