Did anyone just get this downloaded to their phone? I was working and grabbed mine to check something and seen it dl'ing so I checked and it was a update. My phone is supposedly rooted running Bad Boyz with MagisK V13.3. Haven't tried the S-off yet since it is only temporary and I need my phone for multi factor authentication. All in all I thought it shouldn't get direct updates...

Stock updates aren't blocked on BadBoyz. You can't install the update, but you can certainly download it...and have the ongoing reminder to install from now until you update to the new firmware. Have fun with that....

Stock updates aren't blocked on BadBoyz. You can't install the update, but you can certainly download it...and have the ongoing reminder to install from now until you update to the new firmware. Have fun with that....

the OTA can be easily installed by restoring untouched system/boot imgs....doesn't matter though, I had the ROM updated same day

I bought brand new HTC U 11 as a second hand .. The first owner bought it from vodafone but i am using o2 .. So thats not a locked phone .
But when i checked my updates , my latest security patch level is 1 june 2017 .
I was wondering that HTC did not released the july and august security updates or do i have a update problem ?

Hope someone can help me .

Updates are region and or Carrier dependent. Updates are rolling out soon for all other variants. Next update will be August security patch. Now don't go around asking in September why we don't have a September security patch yet.

I really don't get why people bug out for Security patches. You are more likely to drop your phone in a puddle of water in the middle of the desert than be hacked because a month or two outdated security patches on Android.
