Hi guys, I tried several gcams ports and the most crash after take a photo. Do you know which one could works for my? I'm in LineageOs, with Orange recovery and microG recently installed. No root btw...
Sadly, you posted in a wrong section. The forum is for redmi note 7 actually. You should find your forum hereHi, I hope this is a suitable place to post my inquiry.
I have an Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (X00TDB / 4GB / 64GB). I was trying to get a Gcam port to work on the latest Android 9 Resurrection Remix ROM (RR-P-v7.0.2-20191219-X00TD-Unofficial.zip), but none of the ports would save location coordinates to photos, and sometimes the ports would even cease saving photos and videos.
So I flashed to a different Android 9 ROM (lineage-16.0-20200421-nightly-X00TD-signed.zip), and both of these Gcam ports would not save photos or videos, even though they had previously worked on my phone:
1. trCamera_V1.1_Eugene_Onegin.apk
2. MGC_6.2.024_BSG-based_TlnNeun.apk
When installing, I clicked 'yes' to all the permission prompts.
"MGC_6.2.024_BSG-based_TlnNeun.apk" gave me a message saying it couldn't save because of insufficient storage space, but that's false, as I have ample space on both internal storage and the SD card.
I read that this error happens because Google screwed up storage permissions on Android 10, but this is Android 9. Anyway, reportedly the way to resolve the problem is to issue this ADB command in fastboot mode:
adb shell cmd appops set com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng android:legacy_storage allow && adb shell am force-stop com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng
I don't have access to a computer. Since my phone is rooted, can I somehow produce the same outcome by just using my phone?
adb shell
su shell
su shell cmd appops set com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng android:legacy_storage allow
su shell am force-stop com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng
Thanks for your reply. Are the options you mentioned actually steps that must be performed in sequence?Sadly, you posted in a wrong section. The forum is for redmi note 7 actually. You should find your forum here

Nonetheless, you dont actually need a pc to use adb. Two easiest options are 1. Install a magisk module for Adb & Fastboot and read its instructions.
2. You can change thepart withCode:adb shelland type your commands in terminal, i.e. Termux.Code:su shell
For example your commands will be
&Code:su shell cmd appops set com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng android:legacy_storage allow
Code:su shell am force-stop com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng
Well, yes. By the way i forgot to mention that #1 and #2 are different options. Any one can be used. Thanks for your reply. Are the options you mentioned actually steps that must be performed in sequence?

I have the same problemHi,
After an update to Android 10 with MIUI 11.0.1. (global) gcam has started crashing in night sight, astro and in hdr enhanced. Actually, only bulkin043 cam (version 7) kind of works (if the light is enough) but even this version crashes in night sight, astro and hdr enhanced if the frames are more than 5. I tried every possible version – 7, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 by almost every possible developer and it is always crashing when “processing” the photo. I cleared the data, even factory reset my phone – no help. I think this is not a local problem, but an effect from the update, so if anyone has some ideas on how to deal with these crashes, please feel free to share.
