Ok I'm sorry this is a little more complex than my 6T was I apologise I'm lost on restore userdata and pulling a new copy of the kernel (I'm assuming boot.img)
Check out Post #12 in this thread. Since you are still on .19, you can just download the appropriate repair archive from the linked thread. Once you are updated to .31, follow the steps in the How To Root thread, beginning with booting from TWRP and pulling a copy of the kernel.

What I did to get the update for those that are wondering. I went to magisk and Tapped uninstall -Restore images then Tap uninstall again and tap Complete uninstall. I rebooted my phone and I was then able to update to 10.0.31

I'm getting desperate here. LOL. Uninstalling magisk completely doesn't work. I've tried that before. Can somebody check their /data/ota_package folder and possibly zip it up for me if there is data in there??

Please let us know when the 10.0.31 reserve.img is available for download. Would love to be able to patch mine!
If you successfully updated from .27 to .31, the updated file is already on your phone. If you unlocked after you were on .31, then you'll need that file.

I'll pull it from my phone if there are directions on how to do that.

Just do a pull via TWRP. That should be it.

Assuming you're on .27, try there files. They're what worked for me.

Wait. This is just the reserve.img fix files. I don't need that, but thank you! Can you look in /data/ota_package and see if there is anything in there?

Checked that earlier, and it's empty. Figured that if your OTA is bombing, maybe these files that worked for me will allow the OTA to install properly.

Oh I see. Yeah I think it gets wiped after the OTA installs. UGH. I did try those files that I had before. I'll try yours, but I don't think it's going to help.

That would be great if you could pull the reserve from your phone! Unfortunately I updated before I unlocked :/ I know worst case I can go back to .27 or .19 and start over. Just would like to avoid that! Thanks again in advanced!

DrWowe was able to pull the .27 files. I am not sure how to tag him. But he would be able to tell you! Maybe you could try to PM him?

I think I have an idea, and I blame lack of coffee for my mistake trying earlier.

I tried to pull it that same way as the kernel in TWRP, but that won't work since we can't mount /data in it. I need to flash the stock recovery with ADB enabled, and then I should be able to pull it.

No worries!! & Damn bro.. I didn't mean for you to have to go through all of that trouble... But thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!

And when I get your reserve file, I just need to follow the steps in the op for the reserve.img dumps OTA fixer?? Then re-root? And I should theoretically be able to take next OTA with no issue.

If you want to try it, here's my reserve.img from 10.0.31. I also updated the script from @ntzrmtthihu777 slightly, just to make it a little more clear what each step is doing. Functionally it is the same.

Just extract to your computer, and run the bat file. Make sure USB Debugging is already enabled, and your computer is trusted.

Perfect man! Thank you so much, I really appreciate this. I will give an update after I try running the script!

And since I will be unrooted after this... I just need to fastboot boot my magisk_patched.img & install newest magisk for perm root? I guess we really won't know it works till I try taking the next OTA though lol

You won't be unrooted after this. The only thing this will do is replace the reserve.img and set permissions appropriately. Even with the other scripts, unrooting is a separate step to be done before running this, so that you can accept the OTA immediately after.

Since you are already on .31, you can skip the unroot steps that are separate. The main test here is to make sure you have reserve.img in your data partition after running this.

I'm sorry definitely misunderstood a bit. But I have finished running script. Wiped cache and rebooted. Used Root Explorer and can confirm my reserve.img has been restored!!! Thanks man!

Again sorry for all the questions. This is most definitely not my first time, just been a min since I attempted this kinda stuff.
Use a file explorer app with root access (I use Solid Explorer), and check /data/reserve for a 260.16MB reserve.img file.
