I am trying 14.0 and 14.3
it was not working,too
Welp, try this, if it still not work then you should ask SolarWarez about that, or install ARM/ARM64 version, I don't think i can help anything :(
- Disable everything in Magisk setting (Systemless hosts, hide...)
- Install Xposed from Magisk Manager
- Reboot to Recovery, wipe davik-cache
- Good luck

I installed Xposed 3.1.3.apk and then V87_DSK23_ARM64 on my Redmi Note 4 MTK (nikel) and no bootloops etc. but in app it said "Xposed is installed, but not active... Check logs" - logs are empty and I don't know why it doesn't want to be active. Any suggestions?

You may want to try this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758

And without the log file, I can't do anything, so try this:
- Uninstall Xposed
- Wipe Davik
- Install Xposed (my fixed version)
- Reboot and hope

I am using Redmi Note 4 MTK too and have no problem with it, so if it still not work then you may consider do a full reset using fastboot menthol (FULL WIPE).

I think I'm gonna give up...
I uninstalled everything, then:
1. Installed XposedInstaller_by_dvdandroid_31_10_17.apk
2. Downloaded xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-20161126.zip from the app and installed it
3. Reboot and again it said that Xposed is installed, but not active and logs were clear.
4. Uninstalled and cleared Dalvik.
5. Again installed xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-20161126.zip
6. And it shows again that it's installed but not active...

Check screenshots :/

NO, i mean download the APK, install the FIXED Xposed version FROM this thread, the stock Solar Warez version is outdated and will not work with MIUI 9
