UPDATE: i found a new apk which is working absolutely fine on android 10 roms.

negligible or no freezing issue or shutter greyout issues. (rarely- with flash on pic doesnt click, so turn off the flash and click again)

personally i have tested it on Evolution x, Pixel Experience and Havoc ROM.

1. it has super-res feature with upto 10x digital zoom. Working absolutely insane?. (attaching sample)
2. night mode working perfectly on both cameras.

Suggested rom: AOSP EXTENDED PIE for best results.
Note: also tested on 3gb version

Most of the asus zenfone max pro m1(6gb) users facing a problem with their gcam. Problems are:-
1. Sometimes Shutter icon turns gray and doesn't click pictures.
2. Hrd+enhanced settings sometimes crashes.
3. Hdr processing stuck in the middle and need the device to be restarted.

Guide.:-
Either its the android oreo problem or the previous apks problem. But now my version of gcam never crashes or shows bugs as listed.
+ it has google lens support.
I am giving the link of the gcam. apk i am using.
Guys if the problem still happening, try switching to aosp extended pie rom. This rom. Is buttery smooth + g am never crashes even on extreme settings.

It depends on which apk you are using and which rom you are using?.

Brother use aosp pie, PE PIE is not that stable, and most gcam versions are working in this rom

it's not working... The main camera interface comes up with no preview, but switching to google lens gives preview . if i switch from still to video, the app crashes....
Can u make a fix for the 4gb/32GB version also?
Btw, arnova's gcam is working fine with preview, but i miss ur tweakings...

As i mentioned in my post, not every apk work best with every rom. I just shared my experience was best the combination of this apk and aosp pie rom.
Sory bro i am not a developer still so i ca t make a fix
