Hi everyone, I'm taking some relax as you know.. it's summer :p But I'd like thank you all for your support @Skorpi58 @Bassofondale @darkado @leonardus_magnus @paulopais @pjdpinheiro @lucpol @Registered Katamari @sbeaber4 @Kzyw @LeTerrible and anyone who follows this project

I'll try to answer everyone with a single post. I didn't released the Rom yet because it's very buggy and slow so we can't use it for everyday life but as I already said main parts as the telephony, bluetooth and wifi are working (except for gps, nfc and fingerprint). I also tried to flash gapps but everything is too much unstable. Main purposes now are:
- to find what is really slowing the system;
- to get the gps to work (it's essential);
- to reach a general acceptable fluency.
I don't know when I will release the rom, I think on September because now I am not working on this. Please don't expect a perfect rom as the nexus ones, remember that this development is totally forced and not 100% genuine because we have to use huawei libraries whose code is not public! My advice is always to change device if you don't like huawei emui.

It's a lot of work for a single person, every contributor is always welcome. Sources are always updated https://github.com/mt7-dev ;)

Stay tuned :fingers-crossed:

Other answers

Fingerprint is a complex thing to get it to work because it's security-related, I cannot guarantee that it will work but I also don't want to say that it's impossible :/

I think so! :fingers-crossed:

That's Awesome! :D

Thank you! I think that companies have (or they think to have) their "special" system and modem optimizations that they don't want to share because of other brands competition, on the other hand I must admit that some way of coding, as for example modifying the android source to fits your needs, are totally awful.
Very good work @gabry3795 ! I really miss the time to play on Android this days, but I hope to find it as you probably did the hardest part, I'm sure I could help. I'll let you know if this happen :)

Perfect, I just released the first beta release here, next step it's to fix the GPS ;)

That release it's only for testers and anyone wants to contribute to this project, you can find a complete changelog here.
Good luck! :highfive:

Hello, awesome work, I still own Mate7 and I was considering tinkering around with AOSP and to be using my Mate7 for testing and development. I didn't know that the binaries were missing till I saw your post. Good I checked first before starting to work on it. I checked your github but couldn't see any recent activity, I'm wondering if you are still working on this project or if you had abandoned it.

Hi @FadyAnwar and thank you. I'm sorry to say that but I'm not working on the project any more, however everyone can resume it where it has been left (any contribution is always welcomed) even if I think it will be probably very hard to build new android versions for the device, nevertheless the petition it is still not available any support code. I suggest you to switch to another device or if you want you can play with the sources and try to make the release stable, only for the sake of your experience in building Android.
