Update BLN-L22C675 from EMUI 5.X.X to EMUI 8.0 (with VOLTE)- Noob Friendly

I am in new problems now.
What I done is here,..
1. I was out of root permission due to updation into OREO.......So I flashed Supersu. Zip through ADB sidelod..
Then,Mistakenly I swiped to allow to not to keep system partition read only through TWRP. I choose this bcz previously TRWP was unable to read or mount sd card or internal storage.
Then,
I flashed oem of BLL-L22C636B370 mistakenly. (Bcz I downloaded this one from internet and in that site this was shown a indian version but it was USA OEM. Fck...... Fck..) I was betrayed. And one thing that is special that it was of nougat version:laugh:
Now I am in bootloop.. And a error message appears

Although FASTBOOT is working fine.
When I press all keys then it also goes to EMAIL SOFTWARE UPDATE

Please let me know following points:

Or How can I get out of this error.
2.Can I flash oem through Fastboot?
If yes then how? And what is extension name of oeminfo file. Bcz I am trying to flash OEM but no file xtension is with oeminfo... So it says command failed.
3.i have all update. Zip of The Oreo version and Also the update zip of BLL-L22C636B70(which is nougat version).

I also visited service centre but they all are owl, they told me directly to replace motherboard:laugh:

Boot to fastboot. Are you on EMUI 8? Or were you on EMUI 8 before this? Flash Elemental ROM TWRP via fastboot. The command is

fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY-V2.img

Next, Don't reboot. Instead hold Power and Volume Up to boot to TWRP simultaneously. Once in TWRP flash firmware via Hurupdater.

Just dload the b340 zip file with dload method and it should be working fine 99.99% and you will be on Nougat.
You are not betrayed but its purely your mistake. C636 is Philippines version. B3Xx is Nougat.

But currently I was in OREO. And main problem was that I was rooted.
So will it work or not?
And last qstn is: which file I should flash? Indian B340 or Philippines b340..

B340 for indian ofcourse, if you have not flashed the oeminfo file for Philippines one.
It will work, just helped a user 2 days back to go back to Nougat. BTW, i was in similar situation when i tried oreo update and it failed and thats why this guide.

Now everything works fine.. All apps working.

Internet also working fine but calls are not placing through JIO.
calls from other operators are placing except jio. Hanging up instantly.
Now my device Name is: BLL-L22(Philippines version)..
VOLTE and 'Software Update' Option is not available in setting.
(Now I am in stock recovery but boot animation changes to Huawei instead of honor logo.)

Any solution to fix Jio calls.. Please guide

Root it, install twrp, flash oeminfo zip given in debranding guide, dload again with indian firmware b340 both the files and all set.

Smooth Update (Not Really!!!)

Hi all, as the title said not smooth update to Oreo for me, as a matter of fact no update at all, so I came here looking for some help and guidance, let me explain:

Phone: Honor 6x BLN-L24 USA Version successfully debranded to L22 Indian version per shashank1320 guide, only problem faced was the test key on the build number but after re-flashing oeminfo and data files everything was fine, my new build number is BLN-L22C675B340 .

Now onto the update to Oreo, I'm following every step as the guide but so far I'm not having any success, things I've noticed:

-With hwota8, installing recovery fail, I think is because is trying to install the recovery img from oreo, since the partition layout is still from nougat thats the cause of the failure, if I continue with the process (using twrp3.1.1.0) the phone boots to a sort of fastboot screen with a message telling me to reflash /system partition again, with dload method I cant revert back to a working B340.

-With hwota7 after the system reboot to apply the update, the process fail with a message that the package cannot be verified or something like that, system reboot and no changes are made to the system.

-With huRupdater, cant wipe/format data partition from twrp so of course I think the cause for the failure is related to that part, ended up with some sort of hybrid system with a lot of apps force closing (settings app being one of them), the only way to fix this was flashing from fastboot boot, recovery and system, doing a factory reset and then using dload method to revert back to B340 (took me some hours to fix this last mess)


After two days trying to update to Oreo, should i give up? Or there's still hope for me?:good: Thanks in advance for any help...

Hi Mannan, hope you're doing good and remember me the guy who hardbricked the honor 6x when following this method to update oreo.
After a long time I have given the phone to service centre and it has got repaired. Then again, I started this procedure to update Oreo this time it is success.
Now what, after oreo update it has been one week but I did not get any update, is it OK?

My build number is showing 8.0.0.046 (OEFK) refer attached the photos.
