If you do that, you will brick your Note. DON'T WIPE YOUR PHONE ON ICS! At least not the regular way...

ICS Google Play

I have reflashed, done a factory wipe (before doing a factory reset, I tried with just having reflashed to ROM), and did not restore any back ups - problem persists... Strange thing is - for a day or two after I flashed ICS, I could download apps via Play over the mobile network, and it just stopped doing it all of a sudden.
Okay, so apparently this issue is also rearing its head on some Galaxy SII's that have been flashed with ICS. The issue is location/region specific, even with an international ROM.

What I did to fix this - regisered with VPN Reactor, used a VPN setting, and when I need to download an app from Google Play ver mobile network, I first dial into that VPN and voila, it works.

Hopefully this will help some other users experiencing the same problem.

I personally flashed ICS (non rooted) yesterday (Netherlands). And succesfully returned to GB.
And i DID full wipe my device from system menu.

Maybe i was lucky because i knew i could brick my phone....but i wanted to test what will happen :)

Steps: (I was on rooted GB)
* Full wiped phone via CWM
* Flashed stock GB via Odin (N7000XENKK1)
* Updated ICS (XXLPY) via KIES.
* After installation i FULL WIPED my device via system menu (factory reset)
* Booted up and played a little with ICS :)
* Turned phone into download and flashed stock N7000XENKK1 direct via PC Odin.
* I'm still alive!!! (thank you god! hahaha)
* Full wiped device via stock recovery (necessary when coming from ICS)
* Now i'm back to my beloved DarkyROM 3.4.1 (full rooted)
* End of journey ;)

I Know i was lucky! Bricking my phone could occur! I do not recommendfull wipe while on ICS!! I was only feeding my own curiosity

Wish there was a video on youtube showing how :)

At this moment there's not a 100% safe way to full wipe while on ICS.
I my case it went OK....BUT there's always a possibility you brick your phone.

In general don't play around if you are not familiar with flashing and the consequences.

No...not completely stucked.
Assuming u did not perform a wipe yet while you are on ICS....u can flash back to stock GB via pc Odin (at your own responsibility :) )

There are several topic's about going back to GB (use the search option)

Keep in mind when flashing...there's is always a possibility getting into trouble :)
I Love it!! ;)

Far far away...
Okay, cool. So at least there's a defined path for me to follow now. Thanks cheese_za, I'll try to get the new SIM as soon as I can.
Hi animaniak, did you solve your problem with mobile data APN's with replacing the SIM?

Definitely something to do with our location (SA). I have found that any ROM from LP6 onwards has this APN issue. I even tried copying the 2 -conf.xml files from etc to the new ROM and that doesn't work either. I can go back to an LP5 rom and its works fine.

Nevermind, replaced the SIM from 32k to 128k and all sorted.
