You are not alone. I've tried various OC apps with the same results. It may be rom related. Have you tried using this kernel with stock rooted MD4?No mattwr what rom i.use, no matter what i set the cpu speed to. FOR some odd rising it kernel nelson wl s overclocking itself to 1.9 even if i choses 1.7 ...1.5....exc.. i use " no frills " but i jave also tried "setcpu "....am i doing something wrong?...and also if i set the minimum to 386mgz.. it sets itself to 192.....

Kool...ill try that...my setting seem to always stick at first then after a few days the settings seem to change themselfs to 192mhz-1.9ghz.....idk why?? I dont touch anything.. anyways ill try what u did and see how it works.ty
Agat's 0.4.3 works fine with MD4 - am using it with JellyBomb 20.7.0
Smoothness = very smooth - I don't see any lag from running apps / games / wakeup / etc - working greathows battery life and smoothness on it?

Since the ROM hasn't been updated since last March you might try more a current kernel...
I've tried. No other kernel wants to work with TPR (for me). its a real PITA and I'm not in the mood to wipe everything
