You are not alone. I've tried various OC apps with the same results. It may be rom related. Have you tried using this kernel with stock rooted MD4?

Yes im using MD4...I THINK i have found a cure...im using a older version on Setcpu that i found off of 4shared.. i upped the voltage by just .ooo5 on the 1.6ghz...and things are sticking for the first time....well..it also is benching quadrent of 6100+ now.

Not sure if this is a cure, but seems to be working now.. im on just a stock odexed rooted rom..

EDIT....NOPE..STILL SETS ITSELF TO 192-1.9Ghz

I'm on stock MD4, rooted and I flashed this kernel and did not have this issue. I used ROM toolbox pro and voltage control and both worked great at holding values, voltages, schedulers and governors. No issues. I flashed with TWRP 2.5.0.0.

hows battery life and smoothness on it?
Smoothness = very smooth - I don't see any lag from running apps / games / wakeup / etc - working great

Battery life = subjective -- I can usually go all day without re-charging.

I'm a moderate user and I have one of the 4200mah batteries with extended case - so my phone lasts me all day and I throw it on charge every night.

and here I thought it was just me.

has to be in the Kernel if it happens on any ROM
