At the moment Dualrecovery don't work on Marshmallow. To make everything work with your ROM you need little bit more than zip file with TWRP in it. However @Wolfbreak made flashable zip called RecRoot which combines TWRP with other tools to make it work with locked bootloader. You can find his thread in Z3 general section.
Thank you, i found it! :good:
I'll try to include his RecRootV2.zip into my Rom with PRFCreator.

Hi

Here are flashable zip file wich installs latest Sony stock 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM 23.5.A.0.570_R1D (IL), latest beta SuperSu v2.71 and latest TWRP 3.0.20 with read and write acces to system. Because device is Wi-Fi only region doesn´t matter. Only difference is bloatware.

Here is the link for new 6.0.1 firmware:

MD5 is: 425e82bf59347e89812c0e56d7fa7580

Make nandroid backup before flashing.
Install it by flashing whole zip file via custom recovery. TWRP recommend.
Factory reset is most likely necessary with cache and dalvik/art cache wipes.

Here is the old 23.1.A.1.28 (Customized NCB) link:

This version of firmware should be rootable. For instructions and download go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...v/sony/root-how-to-root-5-0-lollipop-t3212108

Lost recovery as well...
Sorry to hear. Could you share more information about what circumstances that happened. Locked or unlocked bootloader, another TWRP installed in different partiotion. Busybox you are using. All necessary files for TWRP still in you system etc.

It seems that adaptive brightness isn't working anymore. The display always stays quite dark. Anyone else experienced this?

@fleckdalm: Auto-Brightness is not reliably working for me. Iam having that issue since i own the Tablet

I wasn't able to build a proper ROM for my SGP512, so i used @kulvertti 's ROM and flashed it right over my 5.1.1 ROMs with Cache/Dalvik Wipe and its working fine. Thanks! :good:
With my own ROM i got some wired bootloop: right after unlocking the Tablet via a pattern it restarted all the time. Thanks to a TWRP Backup I could handle that issue without much hassle.

How can i check where the Recovery is installed ? After the first boot with 6.0.2 and TWRP 3.0.2.0 the TWRP Manager-App said iam still using TWRP 2.8.2.0. After entering TWRP manually and rebooting, the App showed TWRP 3.0.2.0. However TWRP works, but i cant boot into Recovery using the Apps function "Reboot to Recovery". I have to shutdown the Tab and hold Vol- after powering it on. I like to fix that, any Ideas? :)

Hello, I have a locked bootloader,Busybox 1.24.1 installed to system/xbin and had only twrp installed. I followed this trying to fix it with no luck though:

Guys, here is the new MM TWRP Recovery with /system rw issue properly fixed.
For those who have the previuos version os this recovery installed, you will need to remove it from the system before proceed to a new installation.

How to uninstall this and the previous version (be careful in the steps)
1 - Delete /system/etc/mm_twrp_recovery folder
2 - Go to /system/bin/ folder
3 - Look for the chargemon.stock file - If it's present, delete this one: chargemon - and now, rename the chargemon.stock to chargemon
4 - Look for the taimport.stock file - If it's present, delete this one: taimport - and now, rename the taimport.stock to taimport
5 - Reboot

How to install:
1 - Download attached Z2_MM_TWRP_Recovery_V2_By_Serajr.zip for locked BL (Z2 Only)
2 - Unzip it and run Install.bat

You're done!

Already tested on new MM Beta .570, as you can see here!!

Enjoy it!

I actually did find and deleted the mm_twrp_folder and the chargemon file no taimport though. I'll have to do it from the beginning again

I tried to build my own and had the exact same problem. Recovered to an old version with flashtool. I did flash over lollipop, so that may of been the issue? Dont supose you ever found out where you went wrong in building your rom?

I did an in place upgrade and erased cache/dalvik. Tried to boot into recovery and ended up in a boot loop (would get to the swirly Sony background and then reboot). Got to recovery by holding down volume and power (or luck) saw twrp 3 and flashed again. It boots fine but I haven't tested recover since. One problem I have now is I can't write to my external SD card. Most apps see it as read only. Will check permissions.

No i have no clue why my build failed that way. I build it the same way i did it for 5.1.1. Maybe the tools need an Update von 6.0.X...
After failing i used @kulvertti 's ROM and flashed it over my 5.1.1 ROM on the device.

Works fine so far, except i cant Backup with Titanium on my externalSD-Card because it says, that not enough storage space is free. But 40gb should be enough :D

i tried everything, some sort of security issue with the rom differs between 5 and 6. there were some alternate SU and recovery packages suggested in the PRFCreator thread that some were having luck with, but no luck for me, closes I go was booting, but very unstable. Went to a full factory recovery with 6. Would be nice to have root, but not the end of the world. Wait a bit until someone more knowledgeable than I sorts it out! :p

You must create a new folder in Titanium itself with type DocumentProvider. You can then move your old backups in that folder. That works for me

Nice to see you are making your own ROMs. To fix bootloop issua you have atleast two choises.
- With pc and Flashtool use your MM ftf -file and flash it by excluding "FOTAKernel", "Partition" and "System". In other words in "exclude section" tick these and don´t wipe anything. (Credits @AlanDS)
- Or download "bootloop fix" from here: https://mega.nz/#!AJcwERiQ!FUmk6eS5aoVsFSZ1f4WZIELIt7sckPCj11n0AIdCNzU
(Credits @niaboc79 and @machao44) and flash it with TWRP.

By checking installing script and/or checking if you find "recovery.twrp.cpio.lzma" and other files with this install here:
Code:
/system/etc/mm_twrp_recovery
/system/xbin/busybox
/system/bin/chargemon
Hello, I have a locked bootloader,Busybox 1.24.1 installed to system/xbin and had only twrp installed. I followed this trying to fix it with no luck though:
There might be problem with Stericson Busybox with this recovery so because this prerooted rom should install working one don´t use other one.

I actually did find and deleted the mm_twrp_folder and the chargemon file no taimport though. I'll have to do it from the beginning again

All of you whom lost TWRP recovery no need to start from scratch. Go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=66493239
Download RecRoot v3 and run install.bat file via pc. Problem solved.
I don't know if I count as having "lost" recovery. When I tell titanium backup to reboot to recovery, it causes a loop. But I can get out of it by holding down volume down and power button to get to recovery. Not a huge deal.

The big problem I have now is the SD card being read only for many, many apps. I can't find a fix beyond "emailing the developers and telling them to update the app". I'd love to do the MM 6.0 Adoptable Storage, but it appears Sony has removed this. Do any of you know how to enable this? I bought a new external SD card to see if formatting a new one would give me the option.

Sorry! Saw this just a few posts below, trying it now:

It won't let me post the URL, anyway, it's the one below about setting up an external SD card.

RIC Defeat is missing in this Release. Help.....SD Card is not r/w anymore
I seem to have full r/w. However, I admit to being totally confused about how MM treats the external sdcard. It's named exfat_uuid, which confuses some apps, but eventually seems to be findable and writeable.

Apps keep, newly so, asking permission to write to exfat_uuid but I just say yes and they all seem satisfied. Don't know what that's all about, but it works.

FWIW... I dirty flashed over kulvertti's 5.1.1 ROM, so maybe that helped getting r/w.
