Thank you very much.
And how to proceed from there if i want a custom rom?
I have already unlocked the bootloader, but as others i can't use twrp since i can't get into that (no led flashing at the start - which was the reason why i wanted to flash a different boot.img)
Is there a way to write a custom rom via fastboot?

Sorry for those possibly stupid question... I've always wrote via twrp on other devices...
And if that was possible i would really prefer that.

Edit: nevermind, i think it got it working now...: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2-tablet/development/rom-ressurrection-remix-n-t3586075

thx dude!

i got a problem now, maybe someone could help me please!?
as it says: "pre-rooted", but i got no root access :(!
i already tried to install/flash supersu over recovery, but no luck. the installer installs, and where it says something about ramdisk, the installer aborts.

Do you have root access before flashing this rom? If you have, this should flash SuperSu with rest of the rom.

the tablet was ofw and locked before i got it - like 2 weeks ago! now i unlocked the bootloader and flashed this pre-rooted fw... so, bootloader status=unlocked!
after that, i tried flashing supersu.zip over recovery, but no root... no root before flashing supersu, and also not after!

Hi

Here are flashable zip file wich installs latest Sony stock 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM 23.5.A.1.291_R3D (VMo AU-NZ), SuperSu v2.76 and latest TWRP 3.0.20 with read and write acces to system. Because device is Wi-Fi only region doesn´t matter. Only difference is bloatware. Since Sony hasn´t push update to SGP511 I use SGP512 firmware which is working fine on my device. If you want you can edit build.prop file in /system -folder to correct model number as shown in screenshot.

Here is the link for new 6.0.1 firmware:

MD5 is: D3B78445485765AB7BD3A163F2A6C4BD
Is the link work for a SPG512?

Well.... Rom installed correctly and worked fine. Just one thing I didn't understood was why my tablet was partially rooted (recovery available but rooted applications blocked) so I tried to flash Supersu v2.82.zip under twrp, this failed r/w was denied, I also tried with TabZ2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.26-RELEASE.combined.zip from Nut and I lost my recovery....
I'm thinking about a locked boot.img, Am I right? If I did something wrong, any advices are welcome and looking for a unlocked boot.img working for my sgp512 windy

You don't need to have unlocked bootloader for this to work. Nut's dual recovery however is incompatible with this.

Good to know.... :/

If I flash the boot.img included in your rom, it will be ok? This is the only way I found to flash and access to the recovery on my tablet
Also, what was the problem about this partially rooted condition?

I don't think it's going to work by just flashing that boot.img.
Information you gave to me its hard to know what went wrong. Maybe it is Sony ric thing or tools you're using or something else. In op there is info how to do it.

@kulvertti Hi, I bricked my tablet and now all I have is fastboot mode. I am unsure of how to use the Androxyde flashtool and the files you have provided. Would you be kind enough to do a step by step? Thank you so much for your help :)

Here is my thread and all I tried so far.

Sorry to hear your problems. If you are going to try flash rootable stock firmware there are compatible ftf - file download link in op. Here in XDA are several tutorials how to use flashtool by androxyde.

I'm currently running Ressurection Remix Oreo 8.1 rom, and i want to flash this since i have some trouble with battery drain. Should i be able to just flash this zip through my twrp recovery, or do i need to do something extra? I unlocked my device and flashed the RR rom directly from official KitKat

EDIT: Okay i think i was too impatient. Went into TWRP and flashed this zip, and my device boots up with the sony logo, then android text, and then the blue waves is shown and seems to be looping forever. I get no purple led at the sony logo so i cannot access my recovery it seems. Tried to boot into fastboot and flashed twrp_3.2.1-cw.img which succeeds, but i still do not get any purple led so i still cannot access it.

Sorry to hear that. I think that problem is that you ended to device with two TWRP installed which are not compatible with each other.

Not sure what caused it. I flashed the boot.img from the Ressurection Remix rom and then the twrp (3.2.1) i used there. Now I'm at least able to access recovery again and flash roms, but not sure how to get this one to work. So for this to work i should use a specific TWRP version or?
