I have an odd issue. After flashing the 23.4 version, I got a notification that said something like "No data service available" after the first boot.

I could swipe the notification away and it didn't return, but now I have a permanent notification on the top left that says "No service", but it's only showing on the lock screen. If I swipe the notification bar down, the notification disappears. It's also not visible when the tablet is unlocked.

Looks like some kind of reference to a missing 3G connection, but my tablet is the SGP511 wifi only model.

Same here after official OTA update. Seems to be a 'feature'

What? New firmware? Can you tell me the difference with the other?

It is supposed to bring some bugfixes that .546 introduced. Look at the other threads

Adaway won't work as well as YouTube (can't read any video). Are you affected as well?

I had issues with root when going from the old lollipop update to .546 but after a bit of playing around I fixed it by relocking my bootloader. Thanks again for helping us out Kulvertti. I had the issue with the data notification once, but no more. I did uninstall lots of the system apps though - including anything to do with phone!

PS looking forward to the .570 update that is already rolled out to jp tablets looking at xperifrm! ?

Thanks, I'll try it out. I had to reverse to CM12 because this build was way too buggy : no playback in YouTube, Adaway and TiBU not working, gifs never loading in Relay for Reddit, etc.

I found a way to remove the NO SERVICE text in lock screen.

You need Xposedframework and a module call CUSTOM TEXT.







You can remove the text or change it for any text. You need to use your own language...I use "Sin servicio".

What version of Xposed do you use? I tried one that was supposed to work on LP, but I ended up in bootloader, so I had to uninstall again..

Thats weird. I check op link and it is working fine here with two different browsers. Try with Chrome or Firefox. (By the way your quated link don´t work because of missing encryption key).

Don´t use Reddit but I don´t have any other mentioned problems.

Weird as I did a proper clean wipe before installation. Anyway, this build is already old now and I went back to CM anyway.

You are right, I used IE from a PC and it did not work, switched to Firefox on a PC and Chrome on the tablet downloaded the file okay. :good:

Mega sucks. I install the app, download it on the tablet and then uninstall the app!
