kulvertti, you're the man

Dirty flashed it over the previous version, and everything seems to be running fine. Also the "no service" text is gone, so that's 1 less Xposed module i need to run :) Didn't notice any other issues with Xposed either, as someone talked about earlier.

Downloading new version now. Thx for fast support.
You're the best! Thank you
Thanks for the hard work.. Btw, xposed (latest version for lollipop on XDA) seems to break this ROM as apps randomly disappear on reboot. Without xposed, all seems to be fine. The previous prerooted ROM was not affected.

kulverti, how did you make a working prf? i downloaded the firmware with xperifirm, and made an ftf with flashtool and created a prf with prf creator. I successfully made one except, the wifi wont work with the .232 firmware. It is not my device, because the wifi works with other firmwares. Just asking what are the steps you used to create prf with working wifi?

Latest flashable zip is created by:
- Downloading sources by XperiFirm with unpack ticked.
- Making ftf with Flashtool including everything else but .ta -files.
- Making flashable .zip file with PRFCreator (v0.8) with .ftf, SuperSu and Dualrecovery. Including everything but leaving signing option unticked.
- Testing that zip file works as it should.

System wont mount

I have tried to flash a number of times. I have dualboot recovery and using TWRP to flash. I continue to get a failed assert message with a notice that /System will not mount. MD5 checksum match with download. Any thoughts or advice please.

How did you root your device? Try to reinstall Dualrecovery.

BTW, my device has not been rooted. can i use the steps on this thread? and use his .232 prerooted firmware?
thanks
For rooting your device there is this thread to root Lollipop (5.0) firmwares (23.2.A.1.62 and 23.1.A.1.28): http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/root-how-to-root-5-0-lollipop-t3212108
If you already are 5.1 firmware you need to downgrade with Flashtool by @Androxyde to 5.0.
Alternativialy you can downgrade to Kitkat firmware 17.1.2.A.0.314 and root your device with Dualrecovery pc install, Flashtool, Easy Root Tool for Xperia devices etc. which all use Towelroot method or Giefroot. Point with rooting is achieve root and also disable Sony Ric which prevent system write acces if not disabled.
I can´t recommend Kingroot method.

Since last update, Titanium Backup has no access to SD card ( saying it is write protected), but ES file explorer has access?! Any ideas?

Hi,
does anyone knows how to get rid of RIC restrictions? Everything I tried failed yet (RICDisabler, ect). Even modulecrcpatch manually in recovery does not work anymore.

Unfortunateley I cannot remember how I did it before this release.... probably another kernel, but I really cannot remember.....

You have several choices. One is flash or install Dualrecovery. If you have working busybox you can try to flash this attach XperiaRicKiler.zip. If don´t have working busybox you can still try to flash SonyRICDefeat from here: https://github.com/dosomder/SonyRICDefeat/archive/master.zip
Inside master.zip is flashable RICDefeat.zip.

Thanks. I will try it with XperiaRicKiler.zip. Seems to be a newer version of that old /sys/kernel/security/sony_ric thing.
I already tried it with your RICDefeat.zip in Dualrecovery (PhilzTouch) but without any success.
Seems that the modulecrcpatch binary isn't working anymore. Anyway I will report.

Is anyone having any issues with YouTube? I keep having connectivity issues. Only a full reboot remedies this for an amount of time. Uninstall, reinstall, cache, data, no luck unfortunately.

Sorry doesn't work here. I am still unable to mount /system RW
Neither RICDefeat.zip nor XperiaRICKiller.zip works.

However if I run this as root in normally (no recovery) ROM I am able to disable RIC and mount /system or / read-writeable.
Code:
[email protected]:/ # cat /sys/kernel/security/sony_ric/enable
1
[email protected]:/ # echo 0 > /sys/kernel/security/sony_ric/enable
[email protected]:/ # cat /sys/kernel/security/sony_ric/enable
0
[email protected]:/ # /system/xbin/busybox mount -o remount,rw /
[email protected]:/ # /system/xbin/busybox mount -o remount,rw /system
[email protected]:/ # mount
rootfs / rootfs rw,seclabel,relatime 0 0
...
sysfs /sys sysfs rw,seclabel,relatime 0 0
selinuxfs /sys/fs/selinux selinuxfs rw,relatime 0 0
debugfs /sys/kernel/debug debugfs rw,relatime 0 0
...
/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system /system ext4 ro,seclabel,relatime,
discard,data=ordered 0 0
...
[email protected]:/ #
But this does not survive a reboot...

Any ideas about this or should I put this somewhere into init?

Have you tried with "byeselinux"? First run .bat -file and then try some of the ric disabler. How ever this is kind weird as XZDualrecovery should do this to your device if correctly installed.
