On which ROM did you flash it? Did it already have gapps? The way you are saying does'nt help.this gapps are not good, google play services force close and i have to reflash my rom in order to work.
According to New experience jb edition thread, it already includes gapps:i was having new experience jb edition, newest version, and i couldn't uninstall it like usual from app manager.
You should have cleared data / rebooted once/ logged into your google account from settings-> accounts-> add account. It would fix the force close by itself usually.- Gapps in build with latest Google Play Store 4.1.6;
When you get this error?panchowatkins said:I installed these Google Apps in a S5570L with Cyanogenmod 7.2 (Gingerbread), and I get the following error "[RPC: S-5: AEC-0]". I've tried twice after installing the gapps from scratch. What can I do? Thank you.
I got the error when I'm trying to install any application on Google Play. It says: "There was an error retrieving information from server [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]".When you get this error?
And also try googleing the error. I'm on phone, so I wont, but google sometimes shows the problem.
Problem: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/3095281?hl=enI got the error when I'm trying to install any application on Google Play. It says: "There was an error retrieving information from server [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]".
I tryed clearing cache, and can't delete account, it says I have to delete all user information (hard reset).
[EDIT]
I think it is the ROM, because I installed the ROM without gapps, and it worked, had them included. But still I get the error when updating the apps, do not know what can be. I installed this Cyanogenmod. http get[dot]cm/get/jenkins/21374/cm-7-20130301-NIGHTLY-tass.zip
& another guy who blogged about it : http://matthill.eu/android/google-play-error-rpcs5aec0/"First remove your Google account, go to Settings and scroll down to Accounts then select Google. At the top where it shows your e-mail address tap it then at the bottom of the page tap Remove account. Ignore all the dire warnings and follow it through until it's gone.
Now do the removal of the cache and data by going to Settings > Applications Manager >All and scroll down to Google Play Services. Tap this and Clear Cache, Clear Data and Force Stop.
Now go back one step and do the same for Google Play store, Clear Cache, Clear Data and Force Stop. Now do it for Google Services Framework too.
Go back to the main menu and select Add account then Existing account and sign in with your username (usually your e-mail address) and password and agree to all until the account is created.
Now reboot the phone and viola! There will be a prompt about accepting Google terms, location settings etc. just agree and suddenly all your apps will be back and updating good as new!"
Ok! Thanks for the googleing, in Android Gingerbread I cannot delete the main account, it says "This account is required by some applications. You can only delete it by resetting the phone to factory defaults."... but in Jellybean I added more accounts and I was able to delete it. Then worked like a charm, thanksProblem: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/3095281?hl=en
