No prob so far. I reduced resolution to full hd by adb so my g4 now is very smooth and cool with SOT >5h.

Umm I think if we use a rooted boot.img and system.img from h815. For example if someone backups the boot of any rooted h815 then that boot is already rooted with super su and then just a system with super su files injected. And replace the original system and boot from the zip by those and afterwards flashing them in android 5.1 rooted. Is it possible?

No. Need LG digital signature for boot.img. In custom kernel no signature. Loader don't boot custom kernel.

if you are root 5.1 , go to Installing Nougat.

It should work without root,
you can reset it with

adb shell wm size reset
adb shell wm density reset
adb reboot

There are several topics about this Problem.
Google it.
Some suggest to Uwe an alternative Launcher because LG s does make some problems with other dpis.

I haven't tested using other launchers but you could try.
