Now coming to the main part. @abhi08638 stopped his CameraNextMod project. He has helped me a lot in modding CameraNext based on COS13. So all the basic features like Denoise, Saturation, Contrast, Exposure, Focus mode are present. You can adjust them according to your needs.

Video HDR is present as well.

All the recommended settings are given as Default. If you mess up things, just restore defaults.

How to install CameraNextMod:
Just download the zip.
Reboot to Recvery.
Flash the zip and have phun

Flashing this will delete Google Camera and Snap Camera. Flash at your own risk. :angel:

The quality of pictures taken is not solely dependant on the Camera you are using. Although this mod is pretty decent and gives better results than the stock cos camera, both rely on the blobs/hal used with your rom. So quality wise all depends on that factor, where ColorOS Blobs gives superior results over Sultan's ported OxygenOS blobs, whereas cm stock camera blobs are the by far worst in terms of photo/video. There are differences quality wise within certain camera apps, of course. ColorOS produces same results as cameranext mod i.e. while used on cm blobs, snap produces images with lesser image size, thus worse quality through higher compression.

Thus you can take following as a general rule:

• If you're using a cm nightly or any similar custom rom which uses the stock camera blobs, it makes no difference what camera app you've been using. Quality of photos and videos will always be crappy compared against the other two
• If you're on a rom with Sultan's blobs, best results are gained through SnapCamera, but only that one that Sultan delivers, not that one that is shipped by cyanogenmod nightlies
• If you're on a ColorOS blob based rom, use ColorOS Camera or even BaconCamera (freely available through PlayStore). The latter is my favourite. You cannot shot better pictures on the OPO than with this combination.

I just installed and did a quick test on my OnePlus with LineageOS. The camera seems to be working well except for Clear Image mode which causes it to Force Close. That's a little disappointing since it was my go to mode. The other thing I found was that the shutter sound is recorded in the first second of video. I also discovered this in another camera app I've installed since going to Lineage. Unfortunately there are not a lot of camera apps out yet have been designed and tested for Lineage. I will probably stick with this one until the choices improve.

I use your camera on Yureka from long time. Now using on Le2 with lineage OS 14.1 ROM.
Camera works fine, but video has few issues. It is randomly force closing. Can you please fix this, of you want I can provide you the logs.

I'm using Lineages OS and the camera doesn't want to take vidéo in slow motion.... It's the solo issue, without it, the camera is perfect !

and than - no app
how to uninstall and install it again?

In system app remover in RRN rom i find it "CameraNextModv7". Uninstall and install again , no app in apps...

Indeed, clear image doesn't work. I'm at resurrection remix rom

I am currently using Nitrogen_bacon-7.1.1-NMF26X Rom in my OnePlus one with TWRP 3.0 and the phone is rooted as well. Does this mod support [email protected] (HFR, no slow motion) video recording? When I select that option from Camera settings and switch to Video Camera, the app is crashing instantly. The other Video recording settings are working perfectly. Any suggestions?
