I thought the Nexus 6 hardware did not support slow motion recording but the One plus camera that you posted works great.
Thanks a bunch.

1-OnePlus One Camera is Decent and it is capable to take Slow Motion Videos @30FPS we all know google did not included the slow motion option in google stock camera . this camera also features a beauty mode and clear image and you have option to recored video @4k, 1080p, and 720p OnePlus camera is pretty much identical to Google new stock camera

theres an update available, follow the instruction that OP posted and you can update it.

I know, I read the first post by OP. But there were three versions available when I searched for 'Motorola camera'. One of which was the one that I had installed. I was wondering if the other ones were newer because the version numbers seem very different.

Wow, great work, man, really thanks. I've been looking for a working port of the Moto Camera for a long time now in different Nexus devices... Do u know if there's a chance we can get the HDR option available in the Motorola Camera?

    After a bit of days of updated OnePlusCamera use, I can tell you that, compared to first version, there was a visible graphic restyling, certainly commendable;
regarding the functions, they are virtually unchanged, apart the nice implementation of the "burst mode" during multi-frame shooting (just hold down the shutter button); It is taken a burst of 20 photos in just 1 second!
HD mode replaces CLEAR IMAGE present in the original version, but..... it is useless! :D
An HDR mode is not there.

In my opinion, to use OnePlusCamera as a simple point and shoot is not convenient, because the classic Google Camera seems to work better, both because it is the HDR (useful in certain shots), but mainly because it produces photos with more detail (it produces a double size JPG) and without a "sharpen" filter exaggerated as of OnePlusCamera.

However, if you are a mood geek (for post-production) and/or you prefer to have almost total control shooting (with manual mode, as the reflex) OnePlusCamera then pulls out the claws and is absolutely to be preferred:
just save the photo in RAW format (a preview is saved in very compressed JPG + 25MB DNG ).
Then converting DNG (there are also many applications on cel (one is Snapseed), but to work on Photoshop with PC is definitely better ...) you can then save as JPG file to minimum compression without any loss of detail (PS), obtaining pictures from 10-15 MB each, absolutely better than any other application.

To give a good idea, here are the links of one of my images taken and processed in different ways:
    Google Camera (HDR on)
    OnePlusCamera (direct JPG)
OnePlusCamera -> DNG processed by Snapseed on mobile
OnePlusCamera -> DNG processed by Photoshop on PC

(To notice that the exposure of this shot was intentionally "difficult" to see what you could pull out from RAW, given the strong contrast of the direct sun on clear pavement and large shady areas. For this reason, compromises were needed to maintain a sufficient detail in the shadows, without "burning" the lighter areas as the blue sky and white, and so as not to appear too much "noise" on the luminance).

Ultimately, Google Camera is great for everything to those who are not fussy (having the HDR often helps in difficult situations),
OnePlusCamera used directly in JPG would be fine if only he had the chance to choose the compression output ..... hopefully in future versions,
shoot with OnePlusCamera and then post-production from DNG (considering also the manual mode during shooting) is ideal.

    P.S .: ah! I forgot the video! :)
On all my tested applications (including Open Camera), the video I have created the problem of auto focus every little movement from the shooting position (and even while resting!) ...... Pretty much if you want a decent video is impossible because every 3-4 seconds the focus is redone, blurring the video cyclically.
With Google Camera, instead, fortunately this does not happen: automatically focuses the first time, and once it starts, the focus remains that way (still giving a chance to touch at any time the part to focus when focus again when you want to).
So, in my opinion, for the videos there is no choice: Google Camera! ;)
