Suggestion

Add Aero Snap feature (or at least double-click the title bar) in next update please, it's very conveniently and easy for me to maximize windows in Windows (excuse for a tautology) or Phoenix. But in Remix I need to point my cursor on middle button for not to accidently minimize or even worse close the window, and this wastes time.

Installed it without any problems on my Xiaomi Air 12. No issues, beside there is no sound. Is there any fix for it? Otherwise REMIX OS and the Mi Air are a unbeatable Team!!! I just love it. So, would be awesome, if you could just have a look to it, since due to the Christmas Sale, Im not the only one, who got is Mi Notebook :)

By the way, happy X-mas holidays!!

Update:
Got it working! First for all who cannot switch off secure boot: Just give your BIOS a supervisor password. Before, the option will be greyed out. After that, press "e" at the GRUB Boot Manager where you can choose between Remix and you other OS. There you insert "acpi=noirq" (of course without quotation marks). Save it and reboot. You cann now enjoy audio. CAVE: Normally this should go only once since it wont be saved to grub (there is a way to save it forever) but strangely it was saved for me with every boot....

So happy holidays to all :)

Are there any plans to make this os independent ? I mean , to not run like an app inside Windows and not only on virtual machine , but to able to flash it as a basic os to our pc

you are in the wrong area.this is not remix os player.this one work natively.
Now you confused me more.
Os for pc the title sais. I googled remix os I pressed download for pc and I got an .exe.
Looking in remix os player here I saw they talk about the .exe. So what does it mean that it works natively ? Both are .exe and work with Windows ?
I only asked if there is any future plan to make remix os independant. I don't know where else to ask there isn't a pinned thread with a guide here.

there are 2 version of remix the remix player that is a emulator that run on windows
http://www.jide.com/remixos-player

and a version that is a installer that run remix in dualboot.
it make bootable usb key you can use to run in live cd mode or install remix with commands line (INSTALL=1 or 2 for exemple).
it have a installer for windows inside to install remix in a partition or along the side of windows in the free space. (note your computer will reboot to run this time, compatible hardware is important)
http://www.jide.com/remixos-for-pc

and finally if you have one of the compatible device you can find system images to install remix.

http://www.jide.com/remixos/devices

damn people have to learn to read sometime...

google is your friend.

my question was if they will make it run without windows :D
i hate windows. here i am dual boot mac and linux. i need a bootable usb stick with this os to flash it , same way we flash all os

exe?what is a exe for you?
for me a exe mean executable, and a executable in windows ,it can be anything.
a installer,a program,a game,a browser,a eraser,a killer,a virus,a trojan,a bomb,a player,a compressor,a emulator,a add,a worm... can be anything.
exe just means it can be executed by windows. but what is inside, you do not know.
btw better use the thanks button than thanking me.

I did use the thank button and I did thank with message too. Personally I don't care for my percentage I chat too in xda. Yes a exe for me is something that executes in window. A bootable usb installer isn't a exe. When I asked for independable installer this means I don't want to depend on Windows :D

yea but a exe can create usb disk, this is how you do a remix os usb installer
and this is how you make a windows 10 usb installer
80% of computers still use windows after all.

Don't know where I went wrong

I created a partition of 24Gb(NTFS). Downloaded remix os, extracted it. Ran the insatller and gave newly created partition as destination. Installer worked perfectly and successfully asked me to reboot. Now after it reboot it shows 2 options as expected to boot windows 8.1 and Remix Os. But when I click Remix Os, blank screen appears and nothing happens. My laptop specs : i7 , 8Gb ram. Windows 8.1 Legacy boot installed. WHERE THE HELL DID I GO WRONG ???

Angry Mr. @11prathmesh
1. Do you have an external screen attached to your device? (2 screens)
2. Is the screen entirely blank black or are there any text messages?
3. What is your graphics card aside for the integrated GPU?

Most likely it's your graphics card not being supported.

Remix works for 60-70% of devices, so maybe yours is just in the other 30-40%.
It still needs a ton of work in hardware compatibility.

My device is a Laptop Dell inspiron 7520, so no external screen. And my graphic card is AMD Radeon HD 7730M. (2Gb). Any idea ? Because I used remix os even the marshmallow based before and it ran without an issue. After some update the problem started occurring. Now after months today I tried clean installing it but just blank screen shows. No text, no cursor hence no installation wizard on first boot.
