Update the same rom from one version to another(Blisspop)

I have blisspop 3.8 and when I go to updates it just downloads the new version
and when I click update it reboots the system to recovery.
So my question is what all things I have to wipe before installing the new zip.
This is my first post on XDA so sorry for any mistakes and Thanks in advance for helping.

I searched a lot but didn't get it.
And since I am a new user I am not allowed to post there.

Usually when I manually update I like to wipe cache and dalvik cache partitions, just to be sure, although I read that's not really necessary.
