After you rooted, did you make any changes to your system? If so, you need to put /system back the way it was and try the update again.
Well, you don't actually have to pay for wifi traffic. You're phone downloads data using the data connection(3g for example), and then sends it to whatever device you're tethering with. Sending the data using wifi or bluetooth doesn't make a difference in how much data you're phone downloads using the data connection.I must be a noob and am missing something... feel free to show me the light.

Hence why there are so many wifi tether apps on the market.

Just updated mine. My GPS was decent prior the update able to get locks on 4-6 sats while driving, now it takes foreverrrr to get a lock and can't get a lock indoors anymore.
Is there a way to revert?
My gps doesnt work at all on any program or test. It didnt work before or after the update.

If it has never worked, it's never going to, it is faulty hardware. I would get it replaced.
Most carriers charge extra for wifi tethering. The amount of data used is irrelevant. They do not charge for BT tethering. I don't want to root my phone and alter its radio just so I can use wifi tethering against my carriers will, so I use BT.
Asus buying time by incrementing version number but doing **** to fix it. They already said the case is the problem so why would a software update help it. Just like the first GPS update was to turn on wifi...that would not constitute an update to GPS still they upped the version. So what did they do this time...boost the signal a little...more interference, more battery usage?
