TESTED AND WORKING ON MY MATE20 PRO L29

Install FW.187 (WILL NOT WIPE YOUR DATA)-THANKS TO smohanv
L09-L29C432

1-Unzip Re-Flash_M20Pro_187.zip on your pc

2-Run FLASH.bat and follow the instructions

WAIT TO FINISH... AND VOILA

THIS WILL NOT RELOCK THE BOOTLOADER

NOTE

2-RESTART YOUR DEVICE - fastboot reboot,UNPLUG THE CABLE AND PRESS VOL UP UNTIL BOOT ON TWRP

3 - >> Wipe > Format data
>> Hit home button and Reboot > Recovery
>> Download and copy RemoveEncryption-Mate20_pro.zip file in to sdcard. LINK
>> Flash RemoveEncryption-Mate20_pro.zip
>> Hit home button and Reboot > Recovery
>> Wipe > Format data
>> Hit home button and Reboot > Recovery
>> Reboot

TO GET ROOT :

-FLASH ON FASTBOOT ( fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk patched_boot.img , fastboot reboot ) DISCONECT THE CABLE AND PRESS VOL UP

if you want to use twrp,just flash twrp on fastboot without any steps.

6-adb push update.zip /data/update/HWOTA/update.zip
adb push nocheck.img /data/update/nocheck.img
adb shell "echo --update_package=/data/update/HWOTA/update.zip > /cache/recovery/command"
adb shell dd if=/data/update/nocheck.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery_ramdisk
adb reboot recovery

WAIT TO FINISH... AND VOILA

THIS WILL NOT RELOCK THE BOOTLOADER

I think you misunderstood. You must have the bootloader unlocked in order to do the above procedures. That means that you still have to pay FH for an unlock code
