Doesn't work here - sorry... The connection to the dock SD is always the first to go. Takes a little more wiggling the screen for the dock connection getting totally lost. But for this dock it does not make a difference loosening the screws.
Hmmm yours must have been a little more sloppy than mine, because loosening that connector resolved the sd issue on mine as well. When I get a chance I'm going to pull my tf700 dock apart and see how that connector is attached in that dock style, be it rigid to a circuit board or flat cable. While they changed the connector tor from one tab to the next, I doubt they changed how it's built into the dock.

pressing the power button off on fixes it still it`s not right something super faulty going on i guess. shame as i have manygames that i can`t back up saves of.
I'm guessing you are not rooted. You can still backup your game data/saves using ADB as long as you are on ICS or above.

i would adb but i can`t get it to detect my tab. fast boot does though strange huh? i tried manually connecting the device in adb but it says failed

i tried different usb ports rebooting both devices and remove/add the dev kit

also tried docked and un docked
