I dont get it, you drop the .apk in the "priv-app" folder ? where exactly ?

And then ? you install it ? I tried but it doenst want to be installed :/

For Oreo 8.0 >>There is already your old message folder in System/priv named as Messaging_Common_5.0

Paste the apk there and rename the apk and folder to Messaging_Common_10.0
Set rwrr permission and reboot..

Hi, I dont have "Messaging_Common_5.0" fonder un priv-app.

I have "msgcommservice" and "messaging_sep81"

android oreo normal is messaging_sep81
S9 normal is Messaging_Common_5.0 (S8 work)
android pie Messaging_Common_10.0 (S8 work)
you don't rename the name can work
youl ike use messaging_sep81 or other name can work
the true name is inside the app

my english is bad

in magisk there is a option to patch boot image. and can root it that way. go to the magisk page and look. sorry i cant pull the link up at this time. ive used this on a Chinese phone and it worked good.
