OK another noob here. I got an Atrix 4g, but when I go into RSD protocol support my Win7 machine is not able to find the drivers for NS Flash Olympus. I searched all over for drivers, but no luck.

Can some kind soul help me find the drivers needed so I can flash my phone to put on a proper version of Android?

Noob to Atrix, but kind of experienced with my Backflip. That bootloader "thingy" was quite the surprise and caused me a soft brick, but I was able to solve it :D

I'm on CM7 right now, quite happy with it, btw.

F.Y.I. Supercharger V6 Script updated to RC4.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021

Install instructions in OP of this thread (towards bottom).

**Edit**

System intergration apperas to be working now... at least on the latest CM7 nightly.

What I did:
- Unsupercharged with script (option 15), since I already had it installed.
- Rebooted into CWM, wiped cache partition & dalvik cache. Reboot.
- Run RC4 V6 script, choose yes to system intergration, and option 9 to install.
- Rebooted into CWM, wiped caches again, rebooted.
- Unchecked Run as Root & Run at Boot in script manager for 99supercharger.sh @ /data. ---> no longer need to do, since system intergration is now on???? (Question asked in V6 thread, waiting on answer).

**Edit**
Checked minfrees with & without run at boot for /data/99supercharger.sh with Script Manager (wiped caches in-between, just to be sure).
Minfrees don't appear to be loading without script manager running the script after boot. Here are my results:

Run at Boot OFF:
3072, 4608, 7200, 11776, 17408, 21000
(12, 18, 28.125, 46, 68, 82.0312)

Run at Boot ON:
1536, 3072, 51200, 56320, 61440, 70400
(6, 12, 200, 220, 240, 275)

So for the time being, even with system integration on, you still need to run 99supercharger.sh at boot with script manager, for the minfrees to be applied. :)

A Noob from Canada need help,
Hello I buy a AT&T Atrix from Ebay and now I use them with the Stock Rom for MTS (Manitoba Telecom Services).
I have Android 2.3.4 with the version 4.5.91.
And now I want to flash some custom Roms on my device, but I am a noob. I read the NOOB Guide.
But I have a couple questions.
What is the correct order ? 1. Root, 2. Unlock Bootloader, 3. Install CWM, 4. Flash Custom Rom.
On which number comes, save all your data and apps, and which program is the best for make back up files, from your phone and all your apps ?

I think root is not the problem I can do this with the one click root.
But which way is save and easy to unlock the bootloader ?

And which Rom is the best for me, I need:
- Fast and stable
- Webtop
- Fingerprint
- Tethering
Sorry for my bad English I am not very long in Canada, I am from Germany.
And Thanks for your help.

Order seems ok, although you don't have to root first as most ROMs will include root built into them (but is doesn't hurt to do it first). The best way to unlock the bootloader is probably the automated script (see OP for link). As far as ROMs go, sounds like you should stick with something like Alien, Aura, Darkside, etc.

And which Bachup App works better to save all phone data, Apps and Widgets ?
Titanium Backup, Nandroid or MyBackup Pro ?
Personally I use TiBackup... but I just restore apps (and sometimes data for games and the like), but do not restore system data after flashing a ROM, that will screw things up majorly. Another good idea, is after you have Rom Racer's latest CWM recovery up and running, you can make a full system backup, that way you can always go back to that spot in time.

Do you loose everything??? Honestly, I can't remember... I unlocked back when we were still on Froyo.... I don't think it wipes everything though... regardless, I'd root, and then backup with Tibackup... but again don't restore your system data... ever... it'll just mess things up.

First Post

I am new to this forum and wanted to reply to another post but was told that I have not made enough post and or do not have enough experience. Well I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S installed Clockwork Mod Recovery and Cyanogen Mod 7, and unlocked it to work on AT&T. Unlocked the boot loader and rooted both mine and my wife's Atrix 4G also installed Clockwork Mod Recovery and Cyanogen Mod 7 and all I wanted to say was that weekly 3 was running well on my device. Forgive me if I seem upset but I paid for the xda Pro app, run gentoo on all my hardware and that includes all my mac laptops. So I feel kind of sad that I can't post to the thread that I use weekly 3 on my Atrix 4G every day at work. I would think that would be of interest to some.

CyaogenMod Install Guide

How to install CyaogenMod on your Device:

***Warning***

You will be wiping your device, so make sure you have your contacts, apps, etc. backed up.
Also, make sure you read all these instructions first and have everything you will need, and know how to complete all the steps below before starting.

1) Make sure your bootloader is unlocked. If you don't know if your bootloader is unlocked, then it most likly isn't.

2) Backup your apps with Titanium Backup or other app of your choosing.

3) Download the current beta build of CM7.1, released by the Atrix Dev team, from the OP here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257574
*make sure it's somewhere you'll be able to find on your device
or
The current nightly build from here (see OP for difference):
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=olympus

4) Download the Google Apps.zip from here (put it the same place you put the CM7.zip):
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Gapps#Google_Apps

5) Make sure you are running the most recent version of either Rom Racer's CWM Recovery found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500
*Older versions may cause installation/boot loop problems.
or
ROM Manager's CWM REcovery from the market. - if your using this version of CWM, make sure the .zips you downloaded are in the root of the /sdcard (internal).

6) Boot into fastboot mode (we are going to ensure that you wipe everything before installing)
- Upon boot press the power button & Volume Down, until you see Fastboot. Press Volume Up to enter fastboot protocol support.
- Plug your device to your pc.
- Go to your fastboot folder (where your fasboot files are) on your pc, and enter command prompt (Shift + Right Click, Open Command Window Here).
- Enter the Command: fastboot -w
- This will wipe your device... shouldn't take but a few seconds.
- Enter the reboot command: fastboot reboot

7) Upon reboot, you need to enter recovery mode, so be ready to after the fastboot reboot command to press Power and volume down, then volume down until you see Recovery, then Volume up to enter.

8) Once in recovery do the following in this order:
a) Wipe data/factory reset
b) Wipe Cache Partition
c) Wipe Dalvik Cache (under advanced)
d) Install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, choose the CM7.zip you downloaded, and yes to install.
e) Once installation is finished, go back to the main menue.
f) Wipe Cache Partiton
G) Wipe Dalvik Cache
H) Install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, choose the Google Apps.zip you downloaded, and yes to install.
I) Reboot... This will take a bit, the first time.
*If you can not get past the boot screen, then what did you do wrong? - Did you wipe everything? Are you using the most recent version of CWM Recovery? Is your bootloader unlocked?

8) Upon reboot, you should be prompted to enter your google id, for market access and the like. If any of the regaulr Google apps aren't installed like maps, voice control, etc. just download them from the market.

9) Notice that your internal sdcard has now changed to /mnt/emmc and your external sdcard has changed to /mnt/sdcard.
To switch to internal storage, so everything isn't stored on your micro SD card, go to Settings -> CyanogenMod Settings -> Application -> Use Internal Storage. (This will effectively switch the two locations above)

10) If you are restoring apps with Titanium Backup, make sure that you do not restore any system data. App data is ok, for the most part, but NOT SYSTEM DATA.

*Note:
- You will also most likley want to check out other keyboards from the market, as the standard keboard that comes with CM7 is for devices with smaller screen size.
- I suggest you explore all the additional setting under CyanogenMod Settings.

First, I just wanted to say thanks for gathering all this info and putting it together in one place. Made this process a lot easier for me.

I dont know, my atrix has still a locked bootloader.
But i read this in some instructions that you loose all if you unlock your bl.
but i am not sure about this.
To answer your question, I just did this and I lost all my data. When my phone rebooted, it came up with the motoblur sign up screen just like the first boot. I had backed everything up with Titanium Backup, so no big deal. Just thought I'd let you know.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, the link to the stock 4.5.91 gingerbread radio is broken. It takes you to another site on XDA, the download link there takes you to briefmobile download, and the download there starts and then around 8% just slows down and stops. I've tried this with my PC, with my phone, nothing works. I'd love to be able to flash 1.77.30 again as I'm having problems with the new one that I have but it won't download. I'll continue looking for another download link somewhere.

edit: found a link on the homebase ROM for all the att radios, here's the link to the download. http://www.multiupload.com/G8T8IGZF05
