Reflash CWM backup (if you made one) reflash which ROM you are using, or reflash 4.5.91 fruitcake. Also might want to ask/search in the webtop thread.

So you do not have a unlocked bootloader.... humm... might try flashing 4.5.91 sbf with RSD Lite if your're on U.S. AT&T. Check the sbf super thread for the file. Or you could try flashing the 4.5.91 sbf that includes unlocked bootloader & root, if that's what you want.

Can't boot into CWM recovery

I've looked for this answer in multiple threads but still can't figure it out.

My Atrix is running stock 4.5.91, is rooted, bootloader is unlocked, I flashed the Atrix CWM recovery. Installed the RomRacer ROM and everything seemed ok.

However, when I try to Reboot into Recovery I just get the android with the ! in a triangle. I let it sit there for a few minutes but nothing changes.

One thing I did not do is use RSDlite to flash the SBF. I'm still running stock 4.5.91. Should I just start over with RSDlite, stock 4.5.91 and begin the process again?

Any suggestions?

First, check /system/etc and see if there is a file there called "install-recovery.sh", if there is, delete it.

Second, try installing RomRacer's latest CWM Rcovery via fastboot (the link in the OP of his thread that are on the LEFT hand side).

or

Try installing RomRacer's CWM via ROM Manager with the instructions in my OP. Either way I think your problem is most likely the file that needs deleting. Also, make sure your selecting the right version to install; AT&T vs International.

Thanks, your first suggestion worked. Got Alien running now!

Ok I rooted my atrix but now I want to get rid of the AT&T splash screen, cheesy internet browser icon, and other bloatware that I may not want. Is there a guide for the atrix specifically or does any one know how to go about this?

To get rid of the splash screen, research boot animations. Browser icon, I'm not sure what you want - I don't use the stock browser, I use Firefox, and I have no problems with their icon.

As for bloatware in general, if it really is useless, just uninstall it.

For boot animations check a link towards the bottom of the OP.

The uninstall bloatware, you make want to consider checking out unlocking your bootloader & flashing a ROM such as Alien, which deletes a bunch of the stock bloat upon install.

The easiest way to install custom icons that I can think of, would be to use a different launcher like launcher pro or ADS, that will allow you to use your own icons.

As long as you haven't unlocked your bootloader yet, flashing back to a earlier sbf file should be fine... you may have to sim unlock again afterwards, don't really know as I don't have that much experience with sim unlocks.

Is there any reason the softkey for search would be disabled after installing a custom ROM?

I've got Alien build #4 on my Atrix. Everything worked except for the softkey when on the home screens. It worked fine within apps like gmail. I just lost functionality on the home screen.

Tried installing bloatware but that didn't help.

Finally just wiped everything and reflashed the ROM. Works like a charm now.

Would post this in the Alien forum thread but I'm still a n00b...

Fruitcakes

Swiftks, could you explain a little more what are the fruitcakes and what are they for?
I have read the thread you recomend of Samcripp, and it's clear for me how to flash them but I don't have clear what are they for.

Flashing sbf files are risky. Installing a CWM recovery is quite a bit safer. The fruitcake builds are stock android builds, but in CWM form instead of sbf.
