since some xaps install and some don't, which xaps are you trying to install that fail?

I get the error message with all xaps. If they install, besides getting the message, the are slow and buggy. I can't remember right now which don't install, but some don't install at all. Actually I can see the icon on my phone, they just don't start, I get a blank screen and then back to the app catalogue.

you can't name one xap that has given you a problem? What app is loading to black and then crashing back? It sounds like you are trying to install paid apps as xap and the DRM is causing fail.

well, some of us have to work too, so they cannot remember all the apps they tried to installed and crashed. especially when they are not on their phones at that moment.

For example, touchxplorer crashes 99%. Kindle and SHCamera are slow like hell. And I am sorry, but I am not going to try all my apps right now to see which one crashes. kindle and SHCamera are the main I use, and touchxplorer is the one I would like to use.

I am sorry for being sarcastic, couldn't help it...

Anyway, I deleted Tom Xap Installer and I tried to install xaps using WPDM and everything went just fine. Now I just have to figure out how to make the rest WPDM functions to work.

WPDM? Windows Phone Development Manager?!

I am wanting to install the HTC Hidden WIFI app but the marketplace has locked it so I can't be downloaded.

I've been reading and it seems Tom's XAP installer, fantastic as it is, requires the phone to be unlocked (using Chevron or something similiar). My phone is only unbranded, is there anyway to install this app without having to purchase/register as a developer?

I am using XBmod and Yuki's mango V2 and I am trying to install HTC tools xap but I cant seems to do it...
I thought the phone ROM was unlocked and I know my phone is not locked to any operator...so what is I am doing wrong...

I am using win 7 64bit

It works now... I reset my phone and then used Tom XAP installer, plus I installed window phone developments tools

Same problem here, flashlight and mango advanced tools gives me that error, gmapspro install fine. I'm on mango rtm.

Zune is running, HTC Mozart is connected and my phone is Developer unlocked.
Installing app to the Emulator works.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
