Thanks!

Titled stated only Wifi drop temporary fix only. Noting about range being better. If you want one, Add a antenna as it won't get any better.

But on a sidenote, My xperia been doing this for so long! Now I found the solution for this thank you!

hy,
I noticed that with this mod, every time I turn on my xperia Z wifi was always On, also if I turned off it on shut down.

Why?
Do you mean that if you turned off wifi and you reboot the phone than wifi turned on automatically?
I don't remember this happening.

In terms of the amount of bars that I have, it's less now with the new fw then with the mod, but the connection is more stable. My connection still drops out occasionally tho.

Will this also work on Xperia SP or Xperia V? Maybe I'm going to buy one of those, but the wifi issues are holding me back. If this fix is compatible with those phones I'm definately more convinced :D

Searched the internet already when I posted the message, and they do have this issue unfortunately... :p
It seems very much devices in the Xperia line have this issue.
So, anyone knows if this fix is compatible? :D

6. Browse to /system/etc/hostapd/hostapd_default.conf
7. Again make a backup copy.
8. This is a long file. So please hang on. Amendment of the following is recommended:
a. max_num_sta=2007 (change to 10 to only display 10 wireless AP)
b. channel=6 (change to 0 can solve most wifi connection problems)."
I don't have any Wi-Fi issues, so I can't comment on the effectiveness of rest of the tweaks. However, I just had to stop by and say that the settings in the above quote apply exclusively to the hotspot feature (i.e. when the phone is operating as an access point) and will do absolutely nothing to your phone as a wireless client/station. In particular, max_num_sta determines how many clients may be connected to the hotspot simultaneously, whereas setting channel to a non-zero value causes the hotspot to operate on a fixed channel number (as opposed to zero for auto-detect).
