I don't have any Wi-Fi issues, so I can't comment on the effectiveness of rest of the tweaks. However, I just had to stop by and say that the settings in the above quote apply exclusively to the hotspot feature (i.e. when the phone is operating as an access point) and will do absolutely nothing to your phone as a wireless client/station. In particular, max_num_sta determines how many clients may be connected to the hotspot simultaneously, whereas setting channel to a non-zero value causes the hotspot to operate on a fixed channel number (as opposed to zero for auto-detect).
Thanks for the info but this i found somewhere here on xda,just for testing propose.
The file in op has a different tweaks.

No idea how it happened but it broke Wi-Fi and removed my soft keys .. had to reflash my ROM, is it uncompatible with .253?

I've tested the file on the main post also on fw .253 and it works great again

this mod is much better than all the wifi stock configurations I've tried (fw .350, .434, .253)

@gm007:
As I face wifi related reboot issues with doomkernel v8, might this ini-file help? Flashing back v7, advkernel and later again v8 didnt help.

I remember using this ini few months ago and it worked great, but now I use .253 and doomkernel v8 so it might be a complete different story. Especially considering doomkernel changed wifi-drivers...

Did anyone test that?

Doomlord add some tweaks or new drivers in v8 but he say it's not stable now so wait for v9.

Thanks, but the signal is still very weak.

I believe it's a problem with my wifi-repeater. For my Computer the signal on the same floor is very strong. But on my phone it sometimes crashes, even though it recognizes the repeater.
