Quick Question I was on SW version 3.16 with HBOOT 2.09 and I have successfully rooted my phone and installed the TWRP recovery. (Thanks for the guide) Is there a way for me to get SOFF now?

Also I tried flashing Stock with Goodies but I keep getting a bootloop. Is there anything special that I need to do other than flash the zip from recovery and do a wipe?

Thanks for your quick response that seemed to do the trick. In your opinion how tech smart do I need to be to do the SOFF. I had the original EVO and was able to do it with that, but I haven't used unbutu before. I can fall the directions on the page but I don't want to brick my phone. The Only reason I rooted my phone was to put the Sense 5 port on as it is becoming more of a Daily Driver. In order for me to do that I need to be SOFF (or the easiest thing is to be SOFF)

I used ubuntu to s-off. I never used it prior to this. I had 0 linux experience. None. They do have live support in their channel. I cannot and will not walk anyone through obtaining s-off. The possibility of a brick DOES exist and I will not take that responsibility. I do know they have an unbricking tool should you brick your phone with their process. You really should be asking these questions in their IRC channel. I'm happy to help people and I'm grateful when they hit the thanks button, but I really don't want the responsibility of someone possibly bricking their phone.

Thanks I flashed the ROM okay but I am having problems with WiFi and other little things. Is there a way I can go back to completely Stock. I have a Nandroid backup of the Stock ROM that is rooted. Any way to go back to out of the box stock?

No it hasn't been resolved because rooting your phone in NO WAY causes an issue with wifi tethering. In my experience it's been an issue of finding the right version of WIFI tether. Aka 3rd part software. Also I can say that in my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) this has been resolved with a mod to services.jar. However this may or may not be the cause in the Evo 4g LTE.
