AR STICKERS ENABLE GUIDE

Install the modified ARCore /ARCore Preview 2 / AR Core New Version (Choose only One) and AR Stickers APKs.
Download device_profile.proto or Calibration_cad.xml (both works)
Install MiXplorer or use any other root-enabled file explorer.
Move device_profile.proto or Calibation_cad.xml to /system/etc.
Change the permissions to rw-r-r
Download and install BuildProp Editor from the Play Store or edit manually
Open it and add this line: ro.config.calibration_cad=/system/etc/device_profile.proto, if you use the Calibration_cad add this line ro.config.calibration_cad=/system/etc/calibration_cad.xml
Install any GC 5.1 CAMERA
RESTART THE PHONE
Open up Google Camera and look for AR Stickers in the menu.

ALTERNATIVE STEPS

1- Download the module ARStickersMagiskRN3.zip and flash in Magisk or TWRP - RESTART
2- Install the modified ARCore /ARCore Preview 2 / AR Core New Version (Choose only One) and AR Stickers APKs
3- Open the camera app and now you have AR Stickers!, we dont need to install the proto file over and over after update the rom.

Tested on RN3 Kate with Pixel Experience 8.1. IDK other devices. Test.

Can't install the app:

Possible reason 1:
- If you already have a Google Camera app installed, try to remove it first before installing a new one.

Possible reason 2:
- The version you're trying to install is not compatible with your Android version. Use a different apk.

App crashing just after being opened:

Possible fix 1:
- On Android 7: Some of the newer versions may not be compatible with Android 7. Try an older version.
- On Android 8: Older versions might not be compatible with Android 8. Try a newer version.

Possible fix 2:
If it happens after you upgraded to a new version or after changing the app settings, there's a chance you're using not compatible settings. Clean the app data or uninstall and reinstall the app again.

Possible fix 3:
Using a root file manager/explorer, delete the following files, and try again:

Possible fix 4:
Google Camera only runs on ROMs with the Camera2 API enabled. Some ROMs, like Dirty Unicorns, don't have this enabled. To enable:

There's a big chance you're using the wrong settings and it causes the app to crash. Ask for help on this thread

Config camera HDR+: Nexus6 HDR+ Auto or Pixel 2017 Zsl HDR+
HDR+ parameters: Default, Medium (or higher)
Manual fixed black level offset: 16,90, 64,00 or 20,00
Lens Blur megapixels: 5 or 12
Final JPG Quality HDR+: 95%
Compress RAW: OFF
Portrait Mode on all models: ON
SmartBurst: OFF
Developer Settings (OPTIONAL): camera.use_photos, camera.faceboxes , disable camera.af.debug.show
The rest (video resolution, camera sounds, etc) is up to you.

I Use Arnova's 5.1014 more stable for me. But all versions work very good!

This mod is amazing, no doubt. But, I'm facing FC whenever I try to use the apk. I've done all those steps correctly, even checked for those .xml and .jar files mentioned. Also flashed the HAL3 ZIP file, still I'm getting FC whenever I open the app and slide right to switch to video mod.


Also, interestingly my front camera is working, but whenever I try to press the switch camera option, the app freezes. I've downloaded the correct apk for my device. I'm running on MIUI 9 developer with MM and ZCX TWRP.

Please do help. Attaching a screenshot for you.

Test this version LINK. MIUI MM is more complicated to make work the GC Modded. Maybe other kernel helps , i dont know. This camera apps are more compatible for AOSP Roms.

Test this version LINK. MIUI MM is more complicated to make work the GC Modded. Maybe other kernel helps , i dont know. This camera apps are more compatible for AOSP Roms.

Doesn't work for me, FC every time I open it. Do you think if I change my kernel I can use the link you provided in the post ? If that's true, please provide a good kernel name. Thank you.

yes and Arnovas working great but only on nexus 6 setting which is also good. and if you guys having dark in video switch to 4k you will get brighter output.

i am on Oreo( mi max) and Arnovas working great! i didn't try other will try later. also use nexus 6 only other will not work irrespective of versions. also when you install new apk , clear its data and cache, then use again.
